  1. HI all!

I have a friend who is coming here on a K1 visa and her fiance' has just recently moved to another part of the country. They are now worried if she should have any issues at the POE 'cause her address where she's gonna stay in the US now and which she should put on her I-94 is going to differ from the one (the former address of her fiance') they stated eariler in their papers which she will be giving to the POE officer. Did anybody have the same situation before? What should they do?

    Please help :help:

Okay if she already has her visa, then there is not a case in progress, so all they need is an AR-11 form. Just have her partially fill one out with the correct address and have it with her. If they say anything, just show it to them. She has to have her entry date to complete it. There shouldn't be any problem at all. The law gives 10 days to change the address for aliens and since her first day won't be until her entry date, she can mail in the AR-11 after arrival.

    Thank you, Jimmynug!

I found the link to the form on the USCIS website. Thanks again! :star:

  3. Ok, I know it's been 2 weeks already since I had my interview but I just didn't have time to stop by and write about my experience. Anyway, my interview was scheduled for September 13th at 1 PM - of course they only let us in at 12:30 PM. Me and Phillip were the first ones from the 1 PM appointment to get to the room, we put the appoint. letter in a wooden box and sat down. By then a lot of couples started arriving and also being called  and me and Phillip were still there! After 2 hours Phillip got mad because everybody was beeing called and we were still there and went to ask the man that takes the letters to the officers how was the procedure, like, if whoever gets there first go first or what. Well, the man said he puts the letter at the same table and the officers grab them when they are done with a couple. So, since he puts the letters on the top of those that are already there, our appoint. letter was pretty much at the bottom! No wonder why people were getting there after we did and leavind BEFORE us! Anyway, finally about 2 1/2 hours of waiting, waiting and waiting the officer called us. Thank God he was a really nice one. He asked for our Picture I.D., asked for my Supplemental Form (I-693A), documents in both our names. Then he asked my husband my Mama's first name (which I thought he didn't know since we call her by her middle name, but, SURPRISE!), how we met and if he had already visited Brazil. He asked me my full name, our current address and phone number. And that was it! HE didn't ask for ANY photos, he didn't take my EAD (I gave him the copy) and he said there was NO reason for him not to approve us. He was really nice.

Anybody else didn't have the EAD taken????

I didn't have my EAD taken. BTW Did they tell you when to expect a card in the mail? Did you get your welcome letter yet? I jus posted my question about it. I'm also in Ga, 2 weeks after interview - nothing in the mail yet

  4. Hi everybody!

I had my interview couple of weeks ago in GA, everything went great, was approved. However they would not tell us when to expect a card in the mail. So, it's been couple weeks now and I have not received my welcome letter yet, I guess I should just wait patiently. But what bothers me is that I never got any updates on a uscis website since the case was submitted - neither about the case being approved, no there was any notice of the interview date scheduled even after I already got a snail mail appointment. I never signed up for email updates on a case status, just checking it online with a receipt number. May be that could be the reason. I read here everybody's getting updates on a case status online about the interview scheduled, fingerprints and a welcome notice sent, I got none. Is there anything wrong with it? Do you all get online updates? Even after my interview I still read the same information there, the very first notice that my case had been received. So basically now after the interview I have no paper that I had the interview at all. When should I expect a welcome letter and the card in the mail? Anybody here from Georgia? I read here everyone gets their approval letters withing a week or so.. where's mine :crying: i cannot even see if that was sent :crying: Share your experience please.
