    Tabby,

Ours came in a USCIS envelope, it was delivered a week after we got the notification on the egov site. HTH

Thank you. This gives me hope! Its a USCIS envelope as well. Someone told me you get EAD in first class priority mail so wanted to confirm. Mailman comes in the next half an hour. I am going to go and stand there! lol

When we got the approval letter in mail, online status changed a week after!

  2. So far people who got their EAD,s did you get it through regular mail in a white envelope?

EAD approved five months ago but due to administrative error, never received my card. Had my biometrics done last month. I checked informed delivery today and I see something coming from USCIS. I hope its my EAD!!!  I am so frustrated. No update online however!

    did u get any update?

Sorry for the late reply. I was on the phone with the immigration officers for the following two weeks. They made an administrative error and could not figure out why I had not received my card and everything looked fine. Then out of nowhere we got an email saying that I missed two fingerprinting appointments and that we have been put in the queue. Called the immigration officer and told them they need to expedite as I never got any letter and such a long wait. I was literally crying on the phone. Received my letter last week to go in for biometrics to process EAD and I485. Went for my fingerprinting yesterday. However, the wierd thing was they actually wanted to take a picture and fingerprint of only 1 finger. Talked to an immigration officer on spot and got told that it was really wierd for getting my EAD approved without fingerprinting and that It was so rare. He said I should be getting my EAD in less than three weeks now.  I am assuming they didn’t do full fingerprinting because I am from Canada and Is a neighboring country. My I485 was placed on hold as well because of this.

I had my lawyer calling them couple times and today she told me that I should get it within 2 weeks hopefully it happens

Decided to try my luck and call them today. They transferred me to an L2 officer right away but was given an estimated wait time of 77 mins. When the officer called he was very apologetic. He mentioned I should have gotten my card two week s after approval. He said everything looks clear on their side and there is nothing on the system that shows why it's  being delayed. He expedited the SR and said we will hear back with an update in the next 5 days.

Wow... That's really tough... I really hope that they can send you your card very soon.

If not, I would contact my congressperson. They might be able to help and / or speed things up. Just a thought for you because that's what finally helped in our case. Good luck!

That will probably be my next step. They told me to wait another 15 to 30 days but the officers have usually responded back to me in less than a week for my previous SRs so hopefully we will find out soon.

Hi Tabby! Good luck to you! My ead was approved 2 months ago too and I didn't received it either, but I know it was lost in the mail cause I had the tracking number and it said delivered. Did you check with the tracking number? I sent the form again applying  for a replacement and will involve congressman due to the issues I had.

The card never went in production so there is no tracking number involved yet.

hey same here even after I called many times still nothing planned to be sent in production please keep us posted about what happens after you call on monday

So I happened to call them today out of curiosity. They said the same thing again that it can take up to 60 days for the card to go in production and it's on a case to case basis. Mentioned my status will change on day 60 but if it does not, to open SR which will take 30 days. No expedite service available because it's already approved. What day are you on?

I checked informed delivery and it says my card is on the way and is due to arrive on Fridag. It is odd that it is taking them this long to produce your card. I have been a victim of misinformation over and over by their agency, so right now, I don't trust anything they say. Just hang in there though. There is an end to everything, followed by a new beginning. The long wait will soon be over. God bless.

How long does it take before you start seeing mail in informed delivery? I signed up last night, nothing so far

As usual, they gave little to no information as to why your card isn't mailed yet. :/ is it possible that it got sent but the letter got lost while in transit? or address issues maybe? I hope you get your card soon. That will be the perfect Christmas gift!

Well the two times I called my card was still not sent for production so it's definitely not lost. Really hoping I get it this week otherwise Monday morning I will be opening SR

I finally received two mails from USCIS today, one of which is the approval for my EAD and AP. However, I don't see a trackable mail in the informed delivery website. How soon is the card mailed out?

    Thanks in advance!

    P.S.

I am so happy to have received this great news and I pray for everyone's approval soon.

I'm a June filer. My case was approved 54 days ago. Still waiting for my card. Some people get it within a week or two and some don't get it right away like me lol. I will be opening a service ticket on day 60 which can take another 30 days for a response.

this call was a waist of time the only info I got is that my EAD card was not lost since it was never sent to production and is not planned to be sent right now. I just missed a great opportunity for a job :(

Did you try asking the officer as to why it's not being planned to be sent for production when it's already approved?

It makes me wonder if they have certain quotas for Eads every few months or so before they go for production.

  12. I was initially told to wait 30 days before they would open a service request when I first called after 2 weeks when I was approved. When the 30 days were up, I called and got told that whoever spoke to me gave me wrong info. There is a wait time of 60 days for EAD. They will open SR for everything else after 30 days but not EAD. She said if after 60 days you still don't get your card, then it needs to be investigated at which point they will open a ticket and both times they would not transfer my call to tier 2 officer.

The card is sent priority mail. I signed up for informed delivery and it let me know there was a package being sent to my house from
    USCIS- Lees Summit Production Facility.

The EAD will have a tracking number because of priority mail. So if you can't get informed delivery I would call and see if you can at least get the tracking number for the EAD to see if it is on its way or been delivered somewhere else. That would maybe help you figure out EAD card mystery.

Well the card has still not been delivered and they didn't have the tracking number either. She was not opening SR to see what is going on either until November 12. However she also mentioned they will not expedite it because the case has already been approved. So basically in the end, if I don't get my card by December 12, then there is a problem at which point they will expedite it and see what's taking so long for the card. The card is valid from October this year until next year. What is the point of having validity from October when I won't even receive my card for a while.😡

Did your status changed to "Card was mailed to me"? If so you should call USCIS ASAP because the  card should not take more than a week to be delivered (most of the times it is delivered in 2 or 3 days)...What does exactly your status online say? I got the approval letter in the morning and the card in the afternoon on the same day.

No the status is "case is approved".

On October 12, 2017, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxz

We will mail your approval notice.

Please follow the instructions in the notice.

If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The physical letter states that the case is approved and that I will get my EAD card in a separate mail.

I called USCIS today. The officer was not concerned at all. In fact she stated that it can take up to 60 days to receive the card and at this point she is not even sure if the card has gone for production yet. She said when the card goes for production, status will change and also when they will mail it out, the status will change. At the same time, she told me not to rely on online status because sometimes it does not change at all. She said to wait until 12 Nov  and if I don't get it, I can open service request to find out the status of the card. However until December 12 I am still within the timeframe.

I also mentioned to her about how some people with similar timeline got it on the same day or within a week. To that, she said well we say 60 days but can vary case to case.

Actually the biometrics are need for both applications, my biometrics appointment letter stated clearly both of the receipts #s and name of forms that needed biometrics...that’s pretty weird, but you know what? No matter how it goes you got this so...Congratulations!!! 👍😀

Totally agree and thank you so much!!. I was stressing about this as well but my husband told me to calm down lol. Hopefully I will receive the card in mail soon.

The officer I spoke to on the phone last month told me that I should be looking to get interviewed around this time next year as they are extremely backlogged in Atlanta. They are currently interviewing people that filed in September of last year so maybe I'll get FP notice next year :)
