By the way I just received my P4 letter , just one day after getting my interview date on the phone. For the future records!

That's great! It was sent over email obviously right?

Does anyone know where I can find any reviews of EB based interviews? There are many on this site but they're all family based. I want to know the kinds of questions EB candidates are being asked at their interviews. Thanks!

My lawyer told me I was sending NVC everything I needed but turned out I needed to send them proof of my visa status in Canada which meant I got a checklist and delayed Case Complete by 2 months, which now means I got caught in this EB-2 retrogression delay. Basically I would already have my Green Card and be in the US now if it wasn't for my lawyer giving me bad advice but now it will be October/November at best.

So I feel your pain, you would think you could rely on the immigration lawyers to get it right.

Looking at the spreadsheet from last year, there was one EB-2 from Canada who had a CC in early July and they received the interview notification at the end of August for October. So at least last year, they seem to have scheduled interviews for October at the end of August even though EB-2 PD was not current. Hopefully they will do the same this year.

My lawyer is the queen of delays. I had to be on top of her for the past few years just so she could submit on time and not miss deadlines. She really really reallyyyyyyy delayed the submission of my papers to the NVC and I used to tell her that one day my priority date won't be current anymore and I'd like to avoid that. Of course what I was fearing happened coz she's so effin slow! I should have moved to the US a year ago if she had moved at a normal pace. Anyway we've made it this far and hopefully it's just a matter of a few weeks and this will all have a happy ending 😊

Hi guys, I couldn't stay away too long lol.

@enigma992 I called the NVC and got the same info. I'm hoping they would schedule our interviews in September for October and not start to schedule them in October. It just makes more sense.

The funny thing is that when I heard of this August retrogression a few weeks ago I called my lawyer and asked her to do sth about this. She said "don't worry this doesn't affect you coz ur green card is already in process" - well guess what, it did affect me :( anyway thank God for everything.

Sorry forgot to tag @tujna too :)

    Congrats @Feanix!!!!! 😃😃😃

    Hi!

glad to see someone else using the Doha embassy in here! But super frustrating not knowing when the interview will be. Did you get a hard copy of the P4 letter or just the emailed copy? I'm a little confused on what to expect to be getting.

Yes I'm glad too! I thought I was the only one from Doha. Waiting for an interview date is extremely frustrating!!!!!!! 😤😤😤

Also it's a small embassy and they always seem to be on holiday! They're closed the whole first week of September for eid!

I didn't get the P4 yet, I'm still waiting for an interview date. The last thing I got was an email from the NVC saying they have received all required docs and that I'm in line for an interview date. If they have your email address and they've emailed you before then they will be emailing you the P4, I don't think the NVC physically mails hard copies anymore. Maybe you can ask them the next time you call.

How long after CC should we be receiving the P4 letter?

We got our CC on July 17 but still no letter in the mail... only an email saying that the NVC received all documents and that we are now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment (we received this email on July 24).

Confused on if I should call the NVC or the US Embassy here in Doha regarding the appointment?

    Hello!

Im waiting for an interview date from the NVC to take place at the US embassy here in Doha too.

My case was completed on June 23rd so I've been waiting for almost a month and a half. I've contacted the embassy and they said I have to wait for an email from the NVC regarding my interview. You have to follow up with the NVC via phone, the embassy won't help.

I hope you have better luck than me in getting an interview date!

Last month EB interview dates were released on 28th and 31st of June. If that would be yardstick, we should be getting our schedules this week or next Monday. However the months before June, dates were assigned from 20th of the month till the end.

Yes, that's why I was under the impression that EB interviews were scheduled once a month. At this point getting an interview date sounds surreal. Like I've made peace with the fact that I'll never get it lol. My case was completed in June so I've been waiting for over a month. I really hope this is a pattern and we really do get our dates this week or next. I've said this many times and I'll say it again, if there was a valid reason for this delay I would happily wait, but I can't think of one good reason why it's such a long wait from CC to interview notification for us.

  8. These reps don't know what they're talking about. They're just trained to pick up the phone and read what the system says. And they definitely don't know the difference between a family based case and an EB one let alone their processing times. If none of us get our dates this week then we're in trouble. If I call the NVC can I ask to speak to someone who does know what's going on? Will they let me talk to a supervisor?

I was under the impression that EB interviews were scheduled in one shot at the end of the month because they're a small percentage. Maybe that's not the case :(

    Hi, again everyone!

I have a question to those guys who have received an interview dates.

Does at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx  still says   AT NVC  ?

    thanks :)

I think the ceac website is useless at this point. Don't depend on it. From now we either have to get our info from the NVC over the phone or wait for an email.

Does anyone know how long after an interview is scheduled do we get the interview letter? So if this coming week is the end of the month and that's when they supposedly send out EB interview letters (as someone said - don't remember who) shouldn't have they already scheduled all our interviews last week?

I got a reply from Montreal consulate today basically telling me to wait for NVC to schedule my interview as they don't have my record yet :(. For someone with a spousal green card app, emailing Montreal had worked so I was hopeful.

What is most frustrating is not knowing when the interview will be, even if they could say that it won't be until October, at least then I could plan accordingly.

What seems odd is that nobody here on VJ, EB-1, EB-2 or EB-3 has had an interview scheduled for some time. It is a small sample set but it just seems like the NVC has not scheduled any EB interviews for any country. My CC was June 13th and I haven't heard of a single EB interview scheduled since then.

I feel ya! I totally understand! I don't have a problem with them telling me my interview is in October but at least I can go on with my life rather than sitting here next to my email and the phone :( I haven't been able to take a summer holiday or travel back to my home country to see my family! Everyone is having a great summer and I'm just here worrying about the interview. I can't relax. I just don't understand why they haven't scheduled any EB interviews, it's very strange. There's no logical reason for the delay. I've reached out to the embassy too and they said the exact same thing.
