  1. My husband received a yellow notice, "THIS IS NOT AN INTERVIEW NOTICE", requesting documents that are recommended to bring to the interview.

I believe the first request is a mistake by USCIS. On my husbands application he selected "NO", but USCIS requested the following:

"You have indicated you are applying for a disability exception to the English and civics testing requirements. Please bring an original Form N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions, to the interview...."

Is this something he can address at the interivew? Since he did select NO in the application, this doesn't apply to him and is a mistake on USCIS's part.

Also, need some help and clarification for the following request:

"You have indicated that you are applying for naturalization on the basis of a marriage to a U.S. citizen. Please bring an original Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 4506 listing tax information for the past three years (what does this mean?) or copies of the income tax forms you filed for the past three years...."

We have a copy of our 2013 tax returns with W2s, but not for 2012 or 2011. We do have Tax Transcripts from the IRS for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The IRS Tax Transcripts are official documentation of the filed tax returns. Would this be sufficient to take to the interview?

I am trying to avoid calling USCIS as it depends on who you talk to and you get different information or nothing that helps.

    Thanks!

  2. Getting any type of visa is not easy.

As far as your yahoo chats and other chats, it depends on your conversations. What are they about? i.e. don't send them chats that say a lot of "I love you" and "You are my moon" this type of thing. Do your chats have discussions of you planning a future together? Planning to have children? The CO is looking for a "bonefide relationship" and want to see proof of this. Both of you should know alot about each other.

When the case arrives at the embassy/consulate the CO reviews it prior to the interview, which includes the documentation that was included with the petition. They will question the beneficiary on this information. It is possible that the CO will have made their decision before the beneficiary arrives for the interview based on the information provided with the petition.

Front loading if done correctly can have a positive outcome, but front loading done incorrectly can be very detrimental and result in a visa refusal at the interview.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey! You are off to a good start asking questions and gaining knowledge about the process.

  3. It depends on what petition you submitted. I am assuming it is for an I-129F since you posted in the K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process portion of the forum. Go here to check the processing times for CSC. This only shows the timeframe it takes to process the petition. It doesn't indicate the month of the received petitions they are working on. If your receipt notice date is beyond the processing timeframe indicated, which is currently 5 months for I-129F petitions, you can give the customer service a call at 1-800-375-5283 to inquire about your petition.

  6. Sounds like good news. If it's been over a year since he had his interview then it would be necessary to get a new police certificate and new medical, and they are asking for his passport. But like everyone says, you never know until he has "visa in hand".

    Sending good vibes your way!!!
