Sure.  I think I briefly mentioned about my interview experience before in this thread. 

It was quite a painless and smooth process for me after all from when I first filed my N400 application at the end of February.  The whole process from filing to taking oath to become US citizen took a little less than 7 months, which I guess is considered a pretty normal and standard N400 processing time across the country. 

For my interview, I brought with me a whole bunch of supporting documents like previous 5 year tax transcripts, selective service status letter, mortgage statement, and the original documents which the copies I submitted together with my N400 application.  But to my surprise, the IO didn't ask for any of the supporting documents.  He basically just asked me the civic questions, asked me to read and write a sentence, went through all the "yes" and "no" questions on my application, asked a little about my job, my family, my current address and said I am recommended for approval.  The interview took about 20 minutes. 

I got the oath notification letter in my mailbox about 2 weeks later and had my oath ceremony last Wednesday at the LA Convention Center.  There were two ceremonies, one in the morning one in the afternoon that day.  I was scheduled to the afternoon one which started at 1:30pm.  On my letter I was asked to arrive at 12:10 pm.  I guess they want people to arrive at staggered times to avoid the traffic and parking crowds.....after all there were approximately 5000 people in each of the ceremonies that day! 

I arrived at the LA Convention center at around 11:35 am but already found a super long line going into the parking structure (For all VJ members taking oath at LA Convention Center, please allow at least an extra 15 to 20 minutes for parking).  When I got to the security check point the crowd was SUPER HUGE!!!!  There were about 10 metal detector doors for people to walk through and have their bags checked but still, it took almost 30 minutes for me to get through the security check and get into the main hall for the ceremony. 

Once I got into the hall I was directed to go to anyone of the small tables lined up at the far side of the hall to check in. Just a heads up there will be additional line up and waiting there.....so make sure you allow some extra time for parking time, security check and check in.  The USCIS officer at the table asked me for my signed appointment letter (which I already completed all the yes/no question and signed ahead of time at home) and my green card.  He then went through all the yes/no question with me on the letter and wrote a table number on my letter and asked me to go to the assigned table to get my Naturalization Certificate after the ceremony.  

The ceremony started with the director of USCIS Los Angeles giving a welcome speech and announcing the top 3 most represented countries in the ceremony that day, which in descending order are China, Philippine and Mexico.  Then the judge came in and gave a short speech on the meaning of being a US Citizen and asked all 5000 of us to stand up and gave the oath of Allegiance.  After that she announced that we are all Official US Citizen and showed us a welcome video from President Trump and a music video of America The Beautiful.  The ceremony ended with a lady performing the Star Spangled Banner.  The whole ceremony took around 30 minutes.  

Then we were asked to wait patiently at our seats as people are being dismissed to collect their Naturalization Certificate row by row.  It took another 30 minutes for me to be able to collect my certificate.  And that marked the end of my citizenship journey! When I look back this whole process, it's just a big test of patience.  My advice to all other VJ members still in this journey is be patient, take it easy and don't let the emotions of the long wait affect too much of your daily lives.  When you focus more on other aspects of your daily lives, the wait would be much easier and the whole process would be much more pleasant. 

Passport application will be my next step!  I've made an appointment to submit my passport application this coming Saturday at my local post office.  Good luck to all fellow VJ members and God bless!!!!

Glad to say that I am finally a US Citizen. No more stress from dealing with USCIS....  Grateful for all the info, support and experience sharing from the members in this thread!  Good luck to all of you still in this journey!! God bless!!!

6 civic questions are as below:

1. What is the responsibility of the president's cabinet?

4. Name one branch of the government.

5. If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

6. We elect a US Senator for how many years?

I think so base on all the Santa Ana timelines I see on VJ.  I think the processing time of FO on the USCIS website tells you the date of the most back-up date among all N400 applications that the particular FO is working on as of 6/31/2017.

That's great.  Because I am using an app  called the USCIS Study Tool to study for the civic test..haha...

I remember for the biometric appointment, they don't let you bring your cell phone into the building.

After parking the car at civic plaza parking lot around 8AM, I walked into the federal building (34 Civic Plaza). As soon as I entered the building, I had to go through the security screening. The process is similar to the airport security screening. I went to the 2^nd floor and showed my interview letter to the person at the entrance. He asked me to go to the front counter and place my interview letter on black tray. I placed my interview letter and seated. While I was waiting, I saw a lady who was doing front office stuff picked up interview letters from black tray, time-stamped, documented and placed in two racks. The racks have different levels. I believe that each level is assigned to a different interviewing officer. The officers came and picked up interview letters from the rack and called names. I entered the room around 8.13AM and waited till my name was called.  I thought I would be called around my appointment time (8.45AM). But not. Some people who came after me were called in. I realized that the calling time depends on applicant’s assigned officer and previous applicants’ interview time.
