I'm now confused when I read your posts. I'm flying on tuesday with a 4hour layover at Narita. I didn't know about transit visa. Maybe I should call AA first thing in the morning on monday.

I don't think you are going to have a problem if you have confirmed seat. My mother ticket is standby thats the difference. Call the airlines and let us know please. Thank you!

I had to move my flight. I'm supposed to be flying from US to Manila tomorrow and fly back with my mother on wednesday. I asked my mom to get a transit visa first before i can get her, I talked to Delta airlines they said no problem as long as we are not leaving the airport. However when I spoke with the japanese consulate, according to her its a must for my mother to get a transit visa before leaving in manila otherwise they are not going to allow her to board. I don't want to take any chances, I can't stay their longer or leave her alone. I'm playing safe.

i did an airport change at night from Narita to Hadeda & lets just say that "things didn't go so well"

if there is no airport change then you should be good to go you only need an airport visa to TRANSIT out of the airport

if your inbound & out bound flights are at the same airport you have no good reason to leave.

Don't response if your experienced is not latest, I'm looking for a response from those who flew this month October. I'm a USC trying to accompany my mother flying from Philippines to US with a stop over in Narita Japan. she has a tourist visa to come to US. My question is that a really necessary to get a transit visa. We only have 2hrs lay over in Japan. I got different answers. thank you! BTW we have stand by tickets.

Sorry for the late reply...Yeah thats right thats my first job the promotion is not really like a supervisor or whatever but i made it pretty far from Level 7 i went up to Level 4, the pay is good i coud not ask for more and the company said they will send me to school for some training and if i want to go to college they are goin to help me.

Few months ago I posted how excited I'am when i got my first job (thank you all for warm wishes)...and now I got promoted im just so happy and wanted to share to everybody in here specially for those people like me my english is not that good I always have problem expressing myself but I still made it. Atleast 7people applied for the vacant position most of them are working there pretty long but I got the job even im just the new one. I hope my experienced will give a little inspiration to others just give your best and theres always an award in the end for sure .

I need some help, hope someone can help me to decide what is the best thing to do about filing tax, We got married last July and i started working only first week of october '08, I understand that if we file joint we can save but someone told me that if we file separately i can have full refund, So my question is can i still pursue about filing jointly since i only work three months?

Washington Mutual Bank was not that strick when my husband (fiance back then) added me in his account using my maiden name,they only asked my passport and then we changed my last name after we got married and had my SSN card and marriage contract as a supporting documents, I did open my own account too by only showing them my SSN card in my married name.

My first day went well, i learned alot. Got thrown in at the deep end lol was only there 2 mins and i was already serving my 1st customer *giggles* was a good day all round. Tomorrow i go back and do it all again, only its gonna be even busier

Congrats you made it ... tomorrow will be more easy, im kind a worried for my first day at work my schedule is 10hours a day from 6am to 4:30pm worried about falling asleep i used to sleep 12hours a day not inluding nap time.

Hey guys...... I went for my first interview last week for a part-time job working in the local store, and surprise surprise, i got the job

The boss called me this morning, seems he wants me to start this very afternoon. I guess it had something to do with my accent and the fact that i had him laughing during my interview that made him hire me

Its better than sitting on my azz at home, being picky about what job to chose, also it gets me out of the house and meeting people. The store is only like 5 mins from home so thats a bonus, anyways i'm gonna be working for HyVee....so no wise-cracks from any of you

Hi guys im so happy... extremely happy lots of good things happened i got my driver's license eventhough it took me 3 take before i finally passed it , Somebody offer me a job and the next day i got my EAD, I had my interview for this job about a month ago, i never thought they will call me back, i really like this job its very similar from my last job and its only 6miles from my place i can absolutely drive myself goin to work because its only straight drive and one turn , i need easy drive coz my husband told me iam a worst driver ever

OH yeah very happy and my husband too we dont need to go back at DMV anymore and stand there in line and wait for a long time ... i was so nervous in my third attempt im glad i made it.

Ofcourse you can...Electronics, the pay is not bad...Ever since i arrived here all i did was to apply job and no one seems interested in me, i always asked to my husband is it really hard to find job here? He said why your so eager to get a job you don't even have permit to work yet? and finally one employer called for an interview the interview lasted for 1 1/2 hour and i know in myself i didn't do well in my interview my Math skills was very bad

maybe thats why it took for them 4weeks to called me back.

Thank you smoke, In my observation Orlando is dangerous place to drive i always see accident in a straight line and this makes me really scared, Oliver can only go with me for 5days he will be working in different town soon.

I got a chance to visit Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. on the way to our honeymoon i just wanted to amend my passport but they said I need to report my marriage too...it was easy i got my passport back the next day.

thanks guys for the reply, i had my TD shot done and it cost us $60 including the sealed envelop for immigration.

IS anybody here can help me to find an inexpensive CS to get my shot done...we tried to call some of CS listed in the USCIS but kind of expensive.

Just got here last May 1. Travelled alone.

I used PAL direct flight to LAX 13 hrs from Manila then Delta Airlines from LAX to JAX(Jacksonville) - 4 hrs.

I bought my ticket from local travel agency there in the Philippines for USD 895.00 plus Php 1,620.00 travel tax. I'm sure you can have lower fare now coz last month is a peak season going to USA.

I'm satisfied with PAL coz they feed us from dinner to bfast and free goldilocks bread baon before we landed to LAX. you can ask unlimited drinks too.

I suggest you get direct flights coz the distance of terminal transfering to another flight is a burden and I hate the layover time.

Oh I had 4 hrs layover in LAX before I borded the Delta plane.

Too bad it cant be bumped up to may 25th. Lira will be flying on china airlines to LAX. I searched, searched and researched and found china airlines the cheapest, even when compared to philair.
