Hello,
I submitted my BBG end of July and picked the successful form up at the embassy mid November 2017. I followed the templates and recommendations from the zweipaesse Yahoo group and all went fine.
I don't think there is any change and effect in the respective authorities in Cologne. They even always responded when I emailed them reg. Questions or status inquiry.
Only thing with the BBG is that this form is painful. More the sheer amount of attachments/evidence. No need for a lawyer but it takes 3-4 days to fill it.
All the best
Hello,
I'm looking for a template I could follow. I can't seem to locate this ZweiPaesse group.

Hello,
I have two questions. When we applied for a US Passport for our daughter, we had to include an original birth certificate. Is the same true for i-751? We will include the birth certificate of our daughter, who was born early this year. We are wondering if it should be original.
Another question is, when we filed for AOS my wife was an overstay so it was a bit complicated and we had a legal representative and we got approved and her status adjusted successfully. Now, we will file to remove the conditions from her green card. Should we also get a legal representative or lawyer for this? I feel like the i-751 is not nearly as complicated and we can handle it on our own and save some money. We have good documentation of our loving marriage and had our firstborn daughter this year. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!

I’m really unsure what to do right now because we wanted to visit parents in Germany in the next months. I imagine in July or August regular flights will resume but we can’t fly without a passport. I’m debating if we should just file now and will have to wait months — or wait until the expedited option becomes available which ultimately could be faster.
But I imagine they might not open the expedited option even after kicking into the other normal gears. Any thoughts on this?

Hello,
I'm a US citizen so I will not need a visa to travel to Germany. We want to visit a cousin who is getting married there for 2 weeks. What about my wife, who has a greencard? Will she need to apply for a visa to travel to Germany with me?

Hello,
I'm wondering if there's something with good impact that I am missing.
We frontloaded with a lot such as photo album, social media print outs, receipts and bills for the wedding. We also will bring:
- joint insurance cards: health & car
- joint bank account statements
- post wedding photos
- joint tax return
- joint purchase of car receipt + title
- other joint bills
Any other ideas? I wasn't able to put my spouse on the house title, the bank didn't allow it because of the mortgage. I could see if I could add her to my other car title but it's not fully paid off so I'm thinking no.

How are NOV filers interviews going? We filed at the end of NOV 2017 but no interview scheduled yet.

Can I ask where you are seeing this, that November filers are starting to get interviews?
Sure, on page 18 of this thread there are two users (Ansbekk and mrshoon) who wrote they were interviewed and approved. They seem to be November filers of 2017. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems like November filers are starting to get interviews? We got the EAD ~65 days after for which we were super thankful. Prayers to all.

Nope. You don’t need to. All they need to bring is the ds160 confirmation sheet and passport.
Do you think it would hurt to have an invitation letter or itinerary? It might help with answering questions "when/where/who" etc. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks. What about an itinerary, where they will stay, and so on? Phone numbers, addresses, etc.?
-
Congrats! And just curious, did you write an invitation letter with details where they will stay, etc. for them to take along to the interview?

Hello,
I am wondering what the process is of having our mother-in-law apply for a Tourist VISA. Where does she have to go and submit her application, and specifically what forms?
I sent her the invitation letter from our side, but she said we have to send it to the embassy, which I doubt. She has 3 other children and a husband in PH so she doesn't have any reason to not return, she just wants to come visit us and meet my family. Any advice would be really appreciated, including who should pay for the flight etc. We are happy to pay but I read it can sometimes hurt the application. We're just a bit overwhelmed were to start. She does have a valid PH passport. My wife is here with a legal work authorization (came on J1) and we are currently going through AOS.
I understand there's a risk of getting denied but we would like to try, we just want to know the process of applying.

Hello,
I live in PA, my fiance in Florida. She's an overstay that came on a J1 (not subject to 2-year rule). Once we are married she will move in with me and we will file for AOS. However, we would like to have our celebration in Florida (beach, weather, etc.). We were also planning on my grandfather, who is a retired pastor, to perform the ceremony there.
I see the requirements for PA here to obtain a license. We have this paper work so this should not be a problem. As far as I am aware, the marriage license must be issued in the state where the marriage is performed right?
So what are our options? 1) Get a marriage license in Florida and do the wedding there or 2) Get a marriage license in PA, go to a courthouse in PA and then do the religious ceremony in Florida?
Is 2) an option?
And my last question is, since I am PA resident, and we will live in PA, I think for the purpose of AOS, etc. -- it would also be best to have a marriage certificate from PA am I correct?
Thanks!

You'll be fine. I filed taxes every year, but no one cared. They only cared about me and my husband filing together after we got married. I have a friend who didn't file any taxes (both of us overstayed J1) and she was fine. Better than me in fact haha.
(By the way i filed every year even when i had no work permit - you are allowed and actually supposed to do that, i had a ssn but as was mentioned above ITIN can be obtained)Hey, so they cared that you and your husband did file together? ok undersandable
When you filed when you had no work permit ,what did you file then? Since you didn't have a w2, I assume. and what home address? these are important questions. thank you! :-)

Yes that's why I am here, to get some advice. Should she file taxes for last year? All the other years she filed. But not last -- could this become problematic?
We do plan on hiring an immigration lawyer soon, but the question about taxes is perhaps one we can answer and deal with now?

Hello,
I'm a US citizen and I filed my taxes all properly and legally. I am about to be engaged to an overstay (she came on J1, not subject to 2 year rule). She filed taxes for 2 out of the last 3 tax years, but for the last year she did not since she overstayed her J1.
Will she be required to submit her tax returns? In that case she might have to file late for this year, but also we are a bit worried about putting her address, etc since her current status is that she is an overstay. I just want to be prepared as best as we can. She is from a high fraud country (PH).
Looking for info on German Beibehaltungsgenehmigung (before accepting Naturalization)
in Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)

Hello,
i keep reading about the yahoo group Zweipaesse and their info on filing for Beibehaltungsgenehmigung. I can’t locate them, nor any other solid info like templates of approved application or some really good insight into the process. I would love to see some real life examples that have been filed successfully.
