  1. Ok my wife had her interview for her greencard on NOV 29, 2007. Everything was fine at the interview except the officer said she needs to get a I-693A filled out by a civil surgeon and returned to the office to complete the process and her greencard will be mailed in 20 days or so. Well here i am at the end of January with nothing. They have not sent no notice that they recieved the I-693a or anything, when i call USCIS they keep telling me to call back in 60 days. DOes anybody know what is going on ???

Thank you in advance Fellow VJers

  2. I recieved a RFE for AOS on the I-864A which is the co-sponsor application my original was outdated, when i look at the new version on the uscis site it is completely different then the older one that i submitted, on the I-864a which is a contract for household member it has space for only person to fill there name out. IN my case my mother and father are going to be my co-sponsers because they have a joint income tax. how do i fill this form out becasue it ask for individual income and as i say they have a joint W2.. i have only about 2 weeks to respond so any help will be great

    thanks in advance

  3. Mumbai does send a packet 3, my fionce recieved hers 7 days after the embassy mailed it out. The dos will be able to tell you when it was sent. They do send it regular india post. Packet 4 is delivered the same way. IF you live close to mumbai then best bet is to download packet 3 forms and turn them in person at the embassy. Look at my timeline. It is very accuarte for mumbai

  4. Hey fellow vjers my fionce just had her visa interview on the 2nd in mumbai. It was the 1st over here in america and the interview went well they only asked a few questions and they said you have been approved and your passport will come via courier. I was all excited at first, untill the next morning, i called the dept. of state and asked them for the status of my case. They said that its possible they need to run fingerprint checks with the fbi and it could take a while. has anybody ever heard of anythign like this. I am going into depression. NEED HELP

  5. JSUT GOT THE CALL FROM MY FIONCE, HER VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED. I WILL PUT DETAILS UP LATER AFTER I GET THEM ALL TOGETHER, IT HAS BEEN A LONG NIGHT.

THANKS EVERYOEN ON THIS SITE FOR THERE HELP AND SUPPORT

  6. I am still confused, she is supposed to recieve a green card on POE. Some ppl are saying she should have a brown envelope some are saying she should not. i dont know what they call her visa ie k-1, k-3, ir1 etc. but it is the one that a parent gets if one of the children become a US citizen. But she did not recieve a brown envelope though only a visa in her passport. Is something wrong here?????

  7. My fionce has an upcoming interview. Her mother has just recently also recieved a visa because her other daughter is a US citizen ( i forgot what they call that type of visa) my main concern though is that her mother did not recieve any brown envelope. I understand that in k-1 visas they do give a brown envelope that they must hand carry and give it to the immigration officer at the Point of entry. My question is that is this "brown" envelope only given to people issued certain types of visas like k-1 and k-3 or are they given to everybody that is coming to the USA for the first time on a new visa?

we are all panicing so if someone could please help i would appreciate it

    Thankx in advance
