Did they ask you how you came into the U.S?

Just one question... where I had originally gotten my ten year visa from. This interview was for my DS 260 I had to wait outside the U.S. about 13 months after being accepted.  If you're asking about my past visits into the U.S. I was not asked about that extensively because that was all asked in my first interview years back where I was deemed inadmissible because I had petitioned various extensions while on my visits to the U.S. with my kids and hubby, all American citizens.

Does anyone know if for the i864 you can just submit the transcript for most recent year income tax refund or do you have to add previous 3 years,  check stubs w2s etc?

My lawyer said for my hubby to send me in with: IRS 1040 tax return forms for the most recent three tax years and a copy of your most recent pay stub and to prepare an updated affidavit of support.

Yes I already received the letter of instructions to schedule the appointments but,  I called the consulate earlier and told me there's no available dates yet and to check back tomorrow.  See how it goes tomorrow I'm hoping there's available dates for late November.

Oh okay interesting .... I wish I knew the consulate number to call back then.. I never called ... I just logged in and chose a date ... I chose September 4th ... when I logged in at the time there were a lot of dates ... I am finally crossing on the 2nd of October... I had to close things up here and sell my car.....

Omg!  Just by reading your story I feel nervous and excited already... I hope it goes the same way for my husband.  I truly appreciate you sharing your experience and giving me a heads up.  This is a huge help for us.  Thank you😊

After that day my visa was ready for pick up in two days.....In the instructions letter did they tell you to log into this page  https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv to choose your dates for the interview and the biometric?

I'm just waiting to schedule an interview but there's no available dates yet and I don't have to schedule an appt for the med exam, since its for the second time as long as you do them 1 or 2 days before the interview. But not sure if new biometrics are required for the second interview as well.  Does anyone know about this?

If you medical exam was more than a year a go, they make you take it again. Also they make you take the biometrics again. Also you have to pay the interview fee again.

Let me include my quotes from when I went below:

Yesterday I went to Juarez, CDJ Consulate,  for my  interview which was  scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

I got there a bit early at 7:30. They were letting all hours in so I went in with just my papers and a lipstick. Nowadays they do not let

you in with anything except for your papers, folders and wallet. Do not bring any electronics, cell phone, pen drive etc they did though let me enter with the medical CD.

The Plaza Consulado which is to the right of the consulate, about a block down, has lockers that you pay $30 pesos to use. To the left of the consulate there is a kiosk store named Extra and there they will also hold your stuff

for a small fee but they do not have lockers.

After being let in and going for the first screening window where they make sure you have your photos, documents etc they send you to pay $325 within the consulate for the official interview. They do not except  payment coming from different cards or currencies. It either as to come from one credit/or debit card in your name or from one currency in cash. No mixed payment forms, like they accept at the medical appointment. This threw me off so I was back outside trying to get my payment coming in neatly from one currency and source. And hour and a half later I get back in and the consulate was just about empty. I waited at the place to pay for about 45 minutes till someone showed. I was a little nervous while waiting thinking I had lost my opportunity, that things had already started to shut down. But I was told that once let in they won't send you out if you haven't been processed, it does not matter how long it takes. Apparently, I    re showed when they were taking their lunch hour.

After making my payment I went back to the same area where I had originally spoke to an official behind a glass. Place was empty, except for the guards, who were gracious  I waited for about 1 hour. Then the official who was to give me my interview showed. My case was an I-601, DS 260 waiver that I had waited about 13 months to come through. He asked very simple questions, how long we've been married, how many kids birthdays...etc. Then had me sit and wait some more. Then showed again and told me my immigrant visa  was approved! He gave me a green slip of paper saying my visa has been approved with instructions for it being mailed to me. The officer said I should receive my visa within two weeks.

I was so sick all day from the tension that I couldn't even form a prayer... but God is faithful.

    AND:

I went to the Juarez medical center yesterday and the cost of everything plus shots was over $300 which was unexpected because the web site says it is only $220 per adult. After taxes and any additional shots which they only administered two to me it came out to be $7,900 pesos.....and they said it could even go up to being $9,000 pesos..... just a heads up...

Thank you.  I just have my doubts about the I864 affidavit of support. Since I am going to use a new sponsor I would just have to fill out the application and take it to the interview with the documents or would I be asked to send it before the interview date?  Help please

My sponsor also changed second interview around. My lawyer prepared the document but sent me in with the paperwork , we did not send anything ahead of the appointment. When I went in for the interview I just explained it would be a different sponsor now.  They did not have a problem with it.

Yes I was finally able to find it and submitted the ds260 already... I just have to schedule the med exam and interview....  I have a question though once you schedule an interview date will I receive the requirements we need to take in the mail?  For example updated I864 affidavit of support etc

The List you need to bring in I can attach below... basically you have to bring in all the same documents you brought in before for you first appointment years ago.

Thank you.  The instructions I received are from the CDJ consulate and when I try logging in into the account it asks for my case num and an NVC invoice number.  Did you receive a letter from the CDJ consulate, from the NVC or both after your waiver approval?

It's true I only worked with the case number... never did I ever have a NVC number... at least I don't see it in my paperwork. For me to log into CEAC I just needed my case number.

Below is what I found on google.......

Just received a letter from the CDJ consulate with instructions to log into an account but it's asking for an invoice num I haven't received.. Already got waivers approved but confused of what the next step is.... Help please!

Okay when you do your DS260 they give you a chance to update any information that is different from the years past when you first applied and then were denied. I updated all my information, I also had a different sponsor. My case type was an I-601 and the two numbers they kept asking me for was, first the receipt number.... should start with 3 letters mine was LIN and then 10 numbers following it....Then the second number was case Number which started with CDJ and then 10 numbers following it also.... see if it helps you find your number in your paperwork.

Hi, after you received the approval letter of your waiver how long did it take for the instructions on what to do next mailed to you? My father's approval letter i received last Aug. 20 until now we haven't received any instructions to what to do next.

    Thank you.

Hi sorry I just saw this.... weirdly in my case the CDJ consulate sent me instructions before I received my waiver....

Hi I am just wondering how long does it take to get an interview date after submitting the Ds260?

When my waiver was a approved, the CDJ consulate sent a letter to my residence in Mexico and the residence of my hubby in the U.S. with instructions to log into an account and then in that account they show you which days are available to choose from, for the biometric exam and then the interview appointment at CDJ. You have to schedule the biometric first and also schedule the medical exam. The web page was: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv. The closet dates I found available were 6 weeks away.

I have another question? After you got approval for both the 601 and 212 waivers did they ask for any other papers?

yes.... well since it had been more than a year since my last appointment I have to bring in to this appointment just about all the same original paperwork and photocopies, visa photos, plus police reports of all the countries I have been in since I was 16... plus the biometric appointment and the medical appointment again...... also the DS260.... site address.... http:ceac.state.gov/iv/..... they will open it again so you can fill it out again.....

  15. The original i130 was rejected and I had to file a waiver ....  then they accepted my waiver and now I have to do the biometrics and the interview all over again with the medical........ but I will look into it to see if they accepted our friend  as a sponcer and now he might need to write the letter you mentioned......Thank you again HoosierEH and Illiria thank you that helped a lot to know what was the minimum amount needed......

    Hi!

An I601 Waiver is often presented as an option after the CR1 (spousal) application and interview process and before you could apply for the Waiver so he would have had to submit an affidavit of support already.

Were you asked to resubmit the form?

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/immigrant-visa-for-spouse.html#4

Click on Is Residence in the U.S. Required for the U.S. Sponsor?

This will explain how to fill out this form Affidavit of Support (Form I-864 or I-864EZ)

I hope that is what you were asking for.

    Cheers

Good question I have to check if they asked us to or not.... When my husband first  filed for my resident visa we had a friend who was my sponcer at that time .... so but now my husband wants to file as my sponcer...... but I don't know if he is making enough..... plus we have four dependent kids ...... Thank you for the response I will be reading it :)
