    But here's only one nuance, when we got married, the registry service did not give us marriage certificate on the day of marriage.
    Instead of it, they said to us to come in the end of October to receive docs. So when we applied to the lottery, we knew that we were married, but we did not know since when, because we didn't have a certificate and thought that they can change the date in the certificate because we'll receive it later.

    So, the situation is difficult, because if we imagine: I will apply to the lottery as married in the beginning of October and receive docs in the end of October and date of marriage would be end of October, so it would be wrong too.

     

    How do you think, if I explain it to consul, will I have a chance to get a visa? 

     

    I also can provide a document from registry service that I received marriage certificate not on the date of marriage

     

  2. Hello! 

     

    Last year I applied to DV Lottery and won. I applied on the 08 of October 2016 and got married on 16 of September 2016 (3 weeks before I applied).

    I marked as single, because I've been waiting for documents that we are married.

     

    What to do now? Is it fault? And how should I fill DS-260 form?
