hey guys ,how long it take for the check name process for somebody s name is mohamed ,is it true it take between 6 months to 3 years,just cause of the name mohamed.if you have any idea about this plz dont hesitate to reply.

Or longer. I have seen people who filed for Naturalization in 1996 and were still waiting for the background checks to complete. From INS to CIS and yet Immigration was still aware of their cases and when requested would send updates indicating it was still pending.

At this point the only thing that is going to take care of this - which amounts to a backlog - is for an overhaul of the system. Which all current indications point at happening, the earliest, in 2010.

Mind you, mohamod, mohammed, muhamad, etc . . . are not the only names with problems. Ali, Imran, Saaed, and many other popular, male, Islamic names can be indefinitely detained.

For what it is worth - I have also seen someone with a perfectly American name - with all family members with English names - have the same problem. So it is not limited to Islamic and Arabic names - they just happen to be the most common.

a friend of mine had the interview last tuesday and they gave them the G-221 .

is it a deny ,and what the next step to get another interview .

Be sure to take ur passport with you. Hicham did not have any problems getting his social security card here in Texas. He got it in like 6 days. I have heard of some of the offices trying to make it hard to get one. They try and say u need ur passport translated.......but u do not need to have it done. Just go to the Social Security web site and read about it.

i m living in texas and we got married 2 months ago ,u dont need ssc to have ur marriage license ,all what u need is ur passport (visa) .

i think its better to wait ,u can apply for ur SSC 15 dyas after u enter to USA.u can go to the SSC office or print the Forms from the net.u ll need just ur passport .

apply after 15 dyas of ur enter ,its important ,or u ll wait long till they send it to u.

i left a comment yesterday in VJ ,and someone replied say that maybe i m one of those who will get the Green card without interview....

i had My Biometric appointement yesterday ,everything was Good,after coming home ,i cheak my emails,they say that they sent my AOS from illinois to Clifornia,i dont why???and they say they will send me a letter with the decision and i will have to follow the construction?they dont say anything about the interview?

i m so confused,help me with ur informations plz.
