  1. We do have a Co sponsor for our financial part (I-1864). But I understand all this may not br enough to get expedited :( we just really worry I won't make it on time,  we already lost 13+ weeks and nvc is behind on everything,  so it takes another 8+ weeks to receive case number these days..  I guess we'll just have to delay our reception as well :( I can't have any more day's off from work either,  I already took the amount I'm eligible for. Thank you for the response though,  I appreciate it.

  2. Hello,

Can anyone help us on how to request for expediting your case at NVC stage?

Also do we need to wait until we have our case number, and invoice ID number in order to be able to request expediting our case?

We are currently waiting for our case, and invoice ID number. NVC received our case March the 12th.

Because of an USCIS error ( they had lost our case when sending it to NVC Beginning of January )

We have lost over 13+ weeks because of that error, as well as we have a reception planned in October this year for the American side of the family, because a lot of people couldn't be here in Belgium for our wedding.

And as a lot of people know a lot of family members live across the United States, so they need to know at least 5 months ahead of time to book their flights... Unfortunately because we lost all this time because of USCIS we are not sure anymore that I'll ( Beneficiary)  be making it in time to be there for our reception .

As well as my spouse (petitioner) is a full time student in university, working full-time as well, just lost their job, and it would be really helpful for our family, to have our family together as soon as possible so that I ( beneficiary ) can work and my spouse could finally focus on the last year of university and for financial stability.

    We are CR1.

    NOA1 - July the 7th 2017.

    NOA2 - December the 28th 2017.

Case was lost because of USCIC.

NVC received our case on March the 12th.

Currently waiting for case, and invoice ID number.

Priority date is July the 3rd.

    Potomac center.

    Thank you

  3. Two weeks ago NVC has received our case, uscis had it resent to them beginning of March.

We did get the help of a supervisor, after talking with someone from NVC.

Now we are waiting on a case number and invoice id number.

We lost over 13+ weeks with our case being lost at first :(

I'd say keep calling and ask if they can let a supervisor call you to check if your case is there or not. It's weird that at first they said it was and now it's not anymore.. So keep calling!

Best of luck and hopefully you'll get some news soon

  4. Why can't they just resend it? Like I really don't understand, because of all this, we loose so much precious time.

We did email our NOA2 to NVC, but that was the email response we got, that they can't find it and they'll try to track it with USCIS.

We already lost over 8 weeks time with this whole situation, It's a big mistake on USCIS or wherever it got lost.

Hope it all works out soon :(

    I'm so worried

  5. So our case is officially lost... my spouse just got off the phone with USCIS and we got an email back from NVC.

They can't find or track our case anywhere.. not even USCIS.

USCIS will write a decision on next steps within the next two weeks if they haven't found it by then and NVC will try to work together with USCIS to help track it down or so it said in the email from NVC,:( this is so heartbreaking news.

Do we need to start all over again - does anyone ever had this happen before??

We planned a big reception for our American side of the family because a lot of them could not make it to Belgium for our wedding, so we are giving a wedding reception beginning October this year and now because of all this we are really worried that I ( Beneficiary) won't even make it on time  to be there, we expected for the whole process to be over around summer or September at the latest. We took that date because normally if everything was in a timely manner, the whole visa process would be finished by then, but with our case being lost now, we are already significantly delayed by 9+ weeks :(

My spouse contacted two senators of the state of Colorado, don't know it that will help, but we are desperate right now and lost for words because this happened.

    ( Potomac center, CR1, received our NOA2 December 28th 2017 )

    The email from NVC said this;

    Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center received your inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. Unfortunately we do not have a record of receiving your approved petition from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

NVC will work with USCIS to determine the location of your petition. We will let you know when we have more information. You do not need to take any action at this time. Thank you for your patience as we work with USCIS to ensure your case is moving forward.

    Case Number:    YSC*********

    Sincerely,

    Carlos

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm a little worried now since I've found out that they can check social media and such. The problem is when we filled the I-130 we did not fill in any nicknames or anything on the paper but my spouse (the petitioner) goes by a different (for now unofficial) name on social media,  in daily life, our letters written to each other, packages mailed to each other and such. This name is not official yet (in the further future she will change officially to this name)  but we did not fill that in on the paper because the name is not on any official document,  we only filled in the official birth name. Will this be a problem?
