  1. hi,

Is there a way to secure a copy of the I-797 Notice of Action on form I-129F?? Becuase i dont remember getting the I-797 copy on the mail while waiting for my interview. I do have the appointment letter though which i submitted for my AOS. They sent me RFE regarding that and i find it funny in way that Im already here in the US and if thats the only thing missing then they should at least use their common sense and figure out that I have already been approved since Im already here anyway... oh well...

Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks. :)

  2. No advantage what so ever in fact you still have to mail in the supporting documents... so no benefit and lots of disadvantages... like your e-filed form and the supporting doc never get put together... or one or both get lost..

    Kez

yeah, was thinking of that too. SO i guess ill just have to do it the regular way then...

    Thanks! :star:

  3. hmmm...im a little worried now. i looked at my fiancee's visa and under the annotation it has my name spelled incorrectly. everything for her name to her A# is correct but the only part thats wrong is that in my last name, they transposed a letter. all my paperwork i submitted has my name spelled out correct as her petitioner and all of it was typed out. should we worry about this? or not since all of her information on the visa is correct already.

We are on the same boat here.. I got my visa last thursday and i noticed that my fiancees last name was misspelled in the annotation part too. Instead of his last name having 2 L's, they only put 1 L. Did you have a chance to call embassy already?? What do we need to do?? :help:

hey sanfrancisco, i have not had a chance to call the embassy yet. im assuming it will be ok since all of my fiancee's information is correct. i'll let you know if i get a chance to call them. let me know if you get to call them also and what they said. hope it won't be a problem since it's just the annotation part

There was a similar case last year and embassy said that as long as the beneficiary’s info was correct, it was okay. But I would second DeanIWait, better for both of you to call embassy to inform them of the mistake and ask them if there is a need for correction. Then please let us know what they say.

sanfranciso, i just called the embassy and as patientlywaiting said, it's ok for the petitioner's name to have a typo. they said that it only needs to be resubmitted to the embassy for correction is if the beneficiary's information is incorrect. what a relief! it took me awhile to call and get through after a couple days of trying and i fly back to the states with my fiancee tomorrow. when she went to the CFO, they asked about the spelling of my last name since it was wrong. they asked her to bring my passport in to prove the spelling of my last name before they would issue her the certificate of attendence, so after i showed them my passport they said it was ok. i suggest having a photocopy of your fiance's passport when you go through the CFO if you haven't already, just in case they ask about the spelling.

hi! thanks for the info. it was such a relief hearing that i dont have to resubmit my visa for corrections.

i actually called US office to check with them and they said it was no big deal as long as its not the beneficiarys info that has an error in it. They said it was not a big deal but they suggested that i call manila embassy just to make sure. Unfortunately, i wasnt able to get hold of a live person from manila..

So, thank you for the information that you have provided. Now i dont have to bother calling them.

VJ has been a great help!

Thank you so much for all the info!

    God blesss you all!

    Good Luck!

  5. thanks for all the information that all of you guyz shared. it helped me a lot to prepare for my interview.

I got approved last Tuesday (april 17). It went pretty smooth. I think i was interviewed by the consul for not more than 3 minutes.

i know how it is to obsess about how the interview will go, but then let me assure you that as long as your papers/documents are complete and your relationship is genuine, then, you dont have to fret about it. Just be confident and pray.

    Let Go, and Let GOD!

    Amen! :)

  6. hi everyone!

im just wondering if the consul will accept a print out of the ITR form because my fiance will just email it to me.

Does it need to be signed or notarized by the irs or what? or does he need to get receipt so i can show it to the consul on my interview?

i hope you can help me with my questions..

    thanks!

    God bless!

  7. hi everyone!

Just want to know who among you here got noa2 late Decmeber to early January?? Do you have interview schedule already?

I got my noa2 late december and got my pre-interview letter last thursday. I tried to call Manila embassy to check if they have my schedule for interview and medical but they said that unfortunately they dont have it yet. The girl (i believe her name is Lorraine) said that there is no more available schedule for march so hopefully to those of us who got approved late december and early january will get our interview schedule by april or may. We just have to keep our fingers crossed...

Good Luck to all of us!

  8. hi everyone!

I Need help. we got our noa2 last december 8,2006 thru email and also the hard copy of it few days after. As far as we know the next step that we need to do is wait for the packet to be sent to philippines and wait for the medical and interview schedule which will be provided by US embassy in Manila. We tried checking on the visa appointment schedule online and it is still not showing our schedule. ( But ive read here that they update it every 15th of the month so i understand that part.) So, anyway, we called the number for US (i believe its call center) and asked them if they already have a schedule for us for the interview and medical and i was surprised by what the lady said coz she told me that my fiance needs to call the embassy in manila for her to make an appointed for the interview.

So now im confused coz i thought the US embassy in manila will be the one to provide you with the interview date and all that.

CAn you please shed some light over this matter...

Also, what do we really need to do now??

    I appreciate all your help.

    Thanks!

    :help:

  9. **ausqueen -- i guess youre right. All we can do now is just sit and wait...

Good luck to both of us and to all VJ members as well!

to everyone who replied t o my post: Thank you!

    God bless you all!

do i need to wait for the embassy packet that will be sent to me before i could get an interview shedule or can i go ahead and call the US embassy hotline here and asked them to schedule me?

I/We really need directions on how to go about this.

    Thank you!
