Your social security card should arrive in 7 to 10 days after your arrival in US. If not received by day 10 to 14 go to your social security office and apply.
Green card arrives on average 40 to 120 days (usually in that 40 to 60 days). Yo can pay before you leave your country or after you arrive in US.
The Truest Thanks!

the SSN usually take two weeks to 45 days after POE (if not received card after two weeks, contact the SSN office)
the Green Card, officially said 120 process days after u paid the green card fee or POE, depends on which comes the last (also depends on how fast the custom pass ur document to USCIS)
after u paid the fee, u will get a IO number, the website below u can track ur green card status
https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
my POE was May 30th, I got SSN at June 6th (7 days), Green Card June 25th (26 days)
good luck then~
Thank you for the website! I've been looking for it but didn't know how to find it! "Screenshot"

Any May NVC filers still waiting? Our (first) scan date was May 31, I'm patiently waiting, but I see others from then have been approved. I haven't called NVC yet, it has only been 8 weeks.
Thanks!
My scan date was 04/03/17 if you don't get a response exactly at 11wks call the NEXT day. Mine was at NVC for 11wks with no response. I called that on the dot and they told me it isn't officially 11 wks until after 12am. Even then the request won't go through until the day after that. They will submit it in to Supervisor review and can take up to 6 Additional weeks to review. Mine took 4 more wks. I Just got a CC the 18th and the confirmation email today, no letter in the mail yet. So it was a total of 15 wks I asked why? They just said they missed it 😒

Got CC yesterday! After 15wks.😪 Idk if the people who answered my questions last week are still here. But thanks!
It was received on 04/03/17 and after 11wks I called they told me sometimes cases get over looked. It was put on "supervisor review" told me it can take up to 6 additional weeks and only took 4. Hyped😊 Waiting for an interview now😍

You should definitely try an expedite and my best guess is you would be approved. But you should make sure, you should include medical records of your dad while seeking an expedite.
THANKS!

My dad is in Mexico Iam in the US, if I have a CC soon and an appointment it'll be great to see him. How soon can I get an appointment if I get approved? What are my chances?

Hi,
If you are under supervisor review then please read my case under June forum. I had same issue passed 9 weeks and told I am under review and after 1 week got a checklist for proof of residency in Canada. I have forwarded that document and emailed them for expedite but got rejected.
After 1 week passed called them several times (2 times a day to reach to a supervisor) but most of the time they said they are busy and we always try to convince them for a call back by giving our number. After 3-4 days we got a call back from supervisor Amanda and she is very nice. We explained our case to her and told her it is only 1 document and our case is already reviewed so she sent our case under supervisor review and told to wait for few days.
Next week we called NVC and they told supervisor review requires 6 weeks time so we have to wait for 6 weeks.
Next time we called again and told them to forward our call to sueprvisor but they told all supervisor are busy and we told them to please ask them to call us back. Same day after 5-6 hours same supervisor Amanda called us back and she knew our case and she told I am sorry I was busy and forgot to review your case let me review it on phone. So she reviewed our case on phone and told everything looks ok so I will complete this case by end of day. Within 1 hour my case status changed and case got completed.
So I would say keep calling and ask them to forward it to supervisor and please them to review it asap.
Thank you! what time should it be a good time to call ? get a supervisor who wants to help....

Hi E&N if you have passed 8 weeks from your scan date then you can call NVC 2-3 times a week and check with them if it is under review or not.
If they say it is under review then you can increase number of calls to NVC to check if you get case complete. Usually it takes around 1-7 days when your case is under review to get case complete and if something missing then they will give you a checklist.
If it is more than 9 weeks and still not in review then you ask them to forward your call to supervisor as they have more info.
congrats Alex

Called NVC last week and explained my case to a supervisor and she agreed to put a note for a review and she told that it will be done next week in a couple of days and you will see a case complete.
Now called again today and spoke with a supervisor but she told that she can see a note for a supervisor review but it can take up to 6 weeks and cannot be done in 2 days. So anyone can help me to deal with supervisor review? How can we make it fast? Please let me know if anyone faced similar review and was able to get it done quickly.
Some background my scan date: 04th April. Got a checklist for proof of Canadian residency PR card which was mailed June 13th and then asked for expedite but they rejected saying we need to give a fair chance to all but we don’t know what fair chance and to whom as we already waited for 10 weeks and got this checklist. And last week asked a supervisor to help and she put a note for review.
How long did you wait to talk to a supervisor? My scan date was 04/03/17... I wonder if we got the same person reviewing our stuff.... at least you got a check list. Someone paid attention to it

hello .. so after 14 weeks / 97 days ... today... FINALLY GOT MY CC!!!
@Dinah @E&N call every day and ask for a supervisor!!! I did that!
Today I Talked with a supervisor and he told me this "Today or tomorrow your case will be reviewed, I personally will make sure of that"
Good luck and thank you, everyone, specially @JBMG
One more question...Does anybody know what this means? or how long it takes to schedule an interview when it's expedited?
"The U.S. Embassy Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General."
Thanks! Wouldn't they just say "the supervisor has up to 6weeks to review"? How did you get yours expedited?

Hello ! if any one can help me out, it is truly appreciated!! My scan date was on 04/03/17 the 11wks pasted on 06/19/17 so I called the NVC to ask why i haven't received any CC or any mail regarding it. So.. it was put on "supervisor review" and THAT can take up to an additional 6 wks. Ive checked other Timelines and theyve gotten it reviewed waaaay after my scan date. How come mine got 'missed'? and does it really take 6more wks!?
