  1. Question

Last year taxes of mine are below the allowed for sponsorship. ( rough year) ( 2 years prior are with my ex-husband- I was a full-time student and stay at home wife)  This year I exceed it. However I have just started the job and before was working a Temp position. Should I include a letter with my income or What would you suggest. Started my job May, 7?

  2. We have received all steps and information to complete each of the next necessary  for the process from NVC and scheduled the interview. However I am still awaiting the packet which informs me ( the Petitioner) to provide the form for proof of Income. When will this come? Or do I just send it? if  so where? and to make sure, what?  My fiance is in the Dominican Republic. Thanks for any help given on this topic.

  3. I recently received our  NOA2 Approval;;; :D !!!! YaYYY!  for the fact I did not have any lawyers only the help of this website. ( Thank you in advance)  So Question

I last year filed taxes. According to the Qualification I am about 2.000 under the limit to qualify. However, this year I have a part time job, and just accepted a job offer where I make more than enough to qualify. ( Gracias a dios) Questions

    1. Will this be a problem

    2. My part time job is on call should I still submit the information about it, and if so pay stubs and explanation

    3. Should I submit old taxes as they only represent my previous marriage information

    4. Any suggestions on what I should send other than , my Offer letter for my new job and part time job pay stubs,

Awaiting NVC notice so I can schedule the interview ( calling once a week to check status).  Thanks for any help . Oh yea Love this site !

  4. Our RFE was due to his one day in jail  or half day  for late pay of child support. The application for K1 ask about it  I provided proof of all being satisfied and him having no criminal history but the document I sent said he paid ALIMONY  instead of child support. So I got RFE to

prove he was never married and no criminal history. In the Dominican not an easy task but after he visited 3 courthouses he received a letter from the judge to prove non existence. Then also i had to write and notariz a letter stating the events of the arrest and the outcome since he had no criminal record of it in his country. Very difficult task. But all sent in awaiting my MOA2 notice. ( fingers crossed)  oh sent Certified to assure recieved

I understand. I am sorry to pry. I began to panic as my fiancé has twin teenagers. I thought I missed sending something to USCIS.

I suggest you verify your fiancé hasn't any infractions on record. If you haven't already...visit https://multas.pgr.gob.do/consultas and ensure their aren't any multas (known and unknown).

We wanted to make sure nothing as small as a fine for not wearing a helmet or seatbelt would be scrutinized when (God willing) papers arrive to the DR.

I pray all works in your favor.

Thank you so much again. I will check but will do the letter also to try and help this situation.

I am requesting my stepdaughter and uscis also  Sent me a rfe requesting  divorce documents  between  my husband  and the  mother  of  my  stepchild.   Since  they  were  never  married  i just  sent a notarized  letter  explaining  that  they  have  a child  but that they were  never  married.  After  that  they  approved my I130.

Thank you I will try this.  Because his country is saying they don't offer notices of being single only of being married and divorced. Thank  you so much for your help

May I ask, did you also send paperwork for the K-2? Is he bringing his daughter here as well?

Is that why you submitted proof of child support?

I recall the K-1 asking if the beneficiary has children, but nothing more than address and birthdate.

No his daughter is not coming with him.  I sent proof of  a document which showed he was paying child support because he missed it once and spent one day in jail. So I had to prove his reason for incarceration.  I also forwarded up to date receipts of his payments. Showing he doesn't have a debt .   Immigration says the form I submitted stated " Support for Alimony not Support for Child Support" but his court order is for child support not alimony. So they are requesting proof he has never been married now.

  8. Can someone help me PLEASE!!! After waiting for 6 months we finally get a response ( RFE) to " Show proof of never being Married." My fiance lives in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and he pays monthly support for his daughter. Submitting the application we provided proof of this and because the form stated " Support of Alimony for the child" the immigration officer thinks it could mean he was married. He has been to ever courthouse and judicial system possible. One lady saw the information proving he was not married and refused him a copy. How can this be obtained. We do not have a lawyer . Is there a specific form needed. Can I find and submit it for the proof we need? He is up to date with his payment but no one seems to want to give him a letter that states he has never been married. I hope someone can help. As this is the only thing holding us up.

  9. Hello- Starting my processes to have my fiance join me in the United States from the Dominican Republic. Question, when sending proof of relationship I saw messages we had should be sent ( facebook, Whatsapp, etc) however does this have to be translated? If so Facebook is certified for translation can I send the picture of a message that has the Spanish and then the translated version under it ( since face Book offers translated options)? And if I have to send messages how many is good enough?
