  1. Hi! I just logged in to my account and was looking at the documents that I attached. I uploaded my green card and passport in JPG and JPEG format and other evidence in PDF. The JPG and JPEG files are not opening for some reason.

Did anyone have the same issue? Should I re-attached them in the "Additional Evidence" section? Or since the application was accepted, it means that there were no issue?

    Thanks!

Your sister needs to contact the NVC since she is the petitioner and signed and reviewed the form..

Thank you for your response. Can I just use a public inquire form and ask them to update my wife’s name and attach our marriage certificate? My sister contacted the lawyer and she said we can use the public inquiry form. But she won’t be doing that since she is not representing us anymore. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html  I meant this link

  3. Hello everyone. My sister filed i-130 long time ago (almost 12 years ago). She was using a lawyer. I am located in Russia now and since my priority date became current, I started the next process. I found out that that lawyer put the wrong first and last name for my wife. She actually used my mother’s name 🙄

Does anyone know how I can update my wife’s name? I don’t want to pay that lawyer again. Can I use NVC’s public inquire form?

    Thanks so much!!!

  4. We got "We are producing you card and will mail it to you..."  status on DHS website on August 1. And then on August 2, it said "We approved you case". Is this information /website legit?

The EGOV website's status hasn't changed from "On March 5 we transfered you case to the local office". And the status on Case Tracker corresponds to EGOV website.

    Which website is correct?

  5. Hi Guys!

My NOA Is  Feb 1 2017.

Today I received an email at 5am that an action had been taken on my case. I signed in to dhs website and it said - we are producing your card. But there is no change on egov website.

Does it mean I’m approved? I just don’t understand why one website says that the card is being produced and the other one has that March 5 glitch.

  6. Guy, I need your opinion. So I'm checking 500 cases on Case Tracker app. 250 before and 250 after my case number...

Out of 500 cases, 19 got RFEs, 289 were approved, and 308 are cases that were either REALLY transferred to a new office or with that Feb 26/27/28, March 4/5 glitch.

There are a lot of cases that were approved AFTER me! Why do they skip some cases? Do you have any idea? I also know that there are some approvals in March (CSC).

I am a California Service Center filer and I have just been approved. That was a long wait guys.

    11/19/2016 - my NOA

03/12/2018 my case got transferred to a local fascility entered my second application number in the case tracker, because the first one got stuck at "Fees were waived" forever) and that's how I got to know about the transfer

03/22/2018 - case tracker finally showed "Case approved"

No RFE, no additional interviews or biometrics.

My USPS informed delivery showing that I am getting a letter from them today so 03/26/2018 it is.

    Congrats!!

So since your noa is 11/19, you are a November filer?

Look at the post above from @elin123

Thank you for sharing. Sharing is knowledge, was it the lawyer who told you it was a 2 stage process?

Yes and she also said that I should wait for the interview letter. So to be honest, I don’t think she has any idea about this transfer situation. I guess she just assumed that my case is the only one that was transferred and that’s why I’m gonna have an interview 🙄

That's strange because the website doesn't indicate they (CSC) are working on November 2016. I wonder if there was a concurrent N400 filed that required a decision on the I-751 and that sped up the process?

I just read on that November filer’s profile that in January immigration officers came to his/her house.

I was thinking the same thing... I submitted the fingerprints in December and still no updates on USCIS site on the case ... quiet depressing and worrying 😒

you are a September 2017 filer. USCIS California Service Center is processing cases filed before Sept 7, 2016 and Vermont  - Dec 19, 2016. So definitely they will not look at cases filed in September 2017 for a year or even more for California and 9-11 months for Vermont...

    Hi there, Thank you!

Send my intial paper work on December 22nd, and biometrics walk in on January 18th and than been waiting since. No interview or anything! I adjusted from an F1.

Good luck to everyone! I still have to receive a tracking number, hope its not a mistake, lol!

Congrats! I also had F1 and I am from Chicago. I wonder how this process really works. A lot of June/July filers are still waiting.

    Hi everyone,

I had my I-751 interview today and my permanent green card got approved! They said that I should get the card in mail within the next 30 days! The interview went fine, we thought we were prepared but we were asked a lot of questions which we didn't prepare for! All in all it was good since we didn't really have anything to hide!

Did they tell you why you had an interview? I mean, it's so early for January filers... They are processing June/July now...

  13. I came back from Europe on Friday. Not everything was very smooth. I was flying from Moscow to Helsinki and then to Chicago. In Moscow the airline agent had to ask her manager about my GC and NOA because she wasn't able to enter the GC expiration date. The manager reviewed the NOA and told the agent to enter my the expiration date one year ahead. Then in Helsinki, when I showed my boarding pass to the agent by the gate, he said to step aside ( there were also some other people form my flight form Moscow). The security officer came to us and said that we were chosen for random check. They made some closed stands by the gate. And each of us went there and they checked your bags. And then the security officer took me to the gate and said that everything was good. The airline agent checked something in the system and reprinted my boarding pass. And I don't know why, but he changed my seat to business class!! LOL! So finally, in Chicago the officer asked if my GC is expired. I said yes. He said I'm gonna send you to secondary so that they can verify the letter but dont worry. He asked where I work, took my fingerprints and photo and that's it. I went to a small room with another officer. I was there like for 2 minutes. And then he called my name and said I'm good to go!
