I would say six months but hopefully you never know. The thing is at the embassy when I went for my interview we were only 14 applicants for immigration visas. And there was only one person to do the interviews. So it takes so much time, and i guess thT is the reason why appointments take so long because 14 applicants a day is nothing.

I got my CC email on March 24th and then on September 2nd I got an email from the NVC saying that my appointment is on the 2nd of October. So yes i waited from March till October.

Btw my case is IR-2. Hopefully you wont have to wait so long.

It took the US embassy in AbuDhabi 6 months to send me an appointment date..6 months after the NVC had told me that my case was in queue awaiting an interview..so you need to have patience!! Good luck

I need help and advice!! I got my interview date for the 2nd of October from the NVC. Today i just got an email from the US Embassy in AbuDhabi rescheduling my appointment for December 5th. Does that usually happen and does anyone know the reason. All help is appreciated.Thanks!

And if it worked out.. could you please let us know where and how you scheduled the appointment online. Was it on the embassy website?

I forgot to mention im in the UAE

I applied for my two children for the I-R2 visa and our case is now ready for an interview. I have been waiting for an appointment date for 2 and half months. I would like to know how long it usually takes from receiving the 'case ready' email until an interview is appointed. Any help is appreciated.
