You can be out of US up to 6 months with a GC, you should not have any problems coming back.

Hi,
All you need is your green card and passport - hope you have a wonderful trip
Alien permanent residents of the U.S. must present their Alien Registration Card, commonly called the "Green Card."
thanks a lot for the information shared.God bless!

as a GC holder u can petition your immediate family, you file I-130 for your wife and kids at the uscis you don't have to wait to be a u.s.citizen. if you have not enough income you can always use a co-sponsor.am also from the phils with my own family left there so i understand your situation.go home for 6 mos then come back then go home again. but i wonder whats going to happen with your job here in the u.s.

hi to all! what am i supposed to write on tha space #2 in ds-230.'other names used or aliasis(if married woman, write maiden name).i wrote my full maiden name and i got red mark on it from NVC. thanks for sharing your ideas.
What did you write in the space above it?
I wrote my wifes birth name in #1
And I wrote her "married" name in #2 (using her maiden name as "middle name")
i wrote my full married name in #1 and my maiden name in #2. i wonder whats wrong with that cause it says maiden name inside the parenthesis.
