Went to interview today. Photo, fingerprints, wait... Small room, adjudicator will swear you in. Then it's basic questions, recapping all questions from the application and verifying your answers. Given paper/pen asked to write "the White House is in Washington, D.C." Orally asked 10 random questions from the 100 sample. Confirms you fully understand the oath, allegiance. Whatever other specifics pertaining to your case will be discussed. You will sign your name on a form. Then, you'll be orally advised you're approved (or denied). If approved, you will receive letter in the mail for oath ceremony date/time.

You may be nervous, but remember that what you are doing is right, noble, courageous, loyal, patriotic and honorable.

Also, be respectful to the adjudicator and any other staff you encounter.

On April 15, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address

Finally done with the interview today & I passed ? I will just wait for the schedule for oath taking which they'll let me know via mail. Goodluck to the others that will be having their interview soon.

I hope IT at work is not going to block these websites since I spent so much time on them. I am just really glad it's moving fast. And fingerprints appointment took 5 minutes, no line, no other people. USCIS definetely improved since adjustment of status application.

Updated "in line for interview date". Glad to see someone else is going to Detroit. It didn't look like anyone has gone there in several months from the other filers threads.

To be honest, I have been following this thread since we applied. But when I saw your post with the Detroit location, I just had to post - moral support. It feels as though the Detroit office is dragging its feet with these, compared to other offices (other than NY of course ).

It's a miracle! Thanks sooooooo much VJ members who keep us sane throughout the entire process (it's not over yet!).

His interview was exactly a week ago, and he had booked a flight for tomorrow (180 GBP). We were fretting about when he would finally get the visa and whether we'd have to cancel the ticket! But, he got the passport with visa this MORNING!!!!

I'm so happy right now!

I can only reiterate the above... we called the expensive number and were told that they did not receive our packet 3 and would have to wait at least 2 more weeks. Two days later, we received packet 4 with our interview date for the 12th of January!

Funny, we just received packet 4 this morning. The person on the phone had no news nor interview date 2 days ago. However, packet 4, which must have been sent out 3 days ago has it in there!

Interview set for 10am on the 12th of January!!!!!

My fiance called the expensive number this morning. They said that there isn't a date set, nor a packet 4 sent out yet. They went so far as to ask if he sent everything in. When he told them he did and he had it signed for on the 7th, they said it takes 4 weeks minimum for processing. So, I guess we would have to wait 2 more weeks before we hear anything.
