ok she has her interview date scheduled for Sept 6th in Manila, we think everything is fine and no problems should arise, but we are wondering how long does it take them to get her passport and visa back to her, does she have to take the orientation class first?

Do I really need to get a copy of my tax transcript? I have w-2's for last 2 years and was not working the 3rd year, I also have current pay stubs that show I am making enough and letter from employer. Also when will I need to file this with the 134 form? my I-129F was just accepted on 2-15-07 and I know they are running about 7 months behind.

Why on Gods green earth the admins here don't update their forms is a big mystery. Many of the sample forms have errors as well. Buyer beware!

Just in case anyone is interested I tracked down my ex finally, and my divorce papers will be coming from the court (certified) in 10 days.

I know I have many hurdles more ahead of me but this was a big one for me to get out of the way

go to anywho.com do a name search for the number... also if you know her address you can do a reverse search to see who lives there...

You'll need her new last name... but I would also search in her old/your last name...you never knowshe might be still using it for somethings..

I can sympathize. Getting a copy of my long form birth certificate is taking 4-6 months because of Katrina.

I know in Texas if you do not have the case number for the divorce, there is a fee that they charge to do a search and find the record. Maybe Louisiana has a similar service?

Also state law in Louisiana recently changed sot hat you can get vital records are several locations throughout the state rather than just the vital records in New Orleans. I do not know if it only applies to birth certificates, but I was able to get a short form of my birth certificate certified from an office out of Lake Charles without waiting.

I thought I was divorced in Phoenix, AZ, I now live in Las Vegas< NV and she now lives in North Carolina.

The possibility of tax returns are interesting, but we did file separatly in 1987 so I may not have put it on my return, especially if the papers came after I filed.

This is all new to me, and I can see I am in for a project but she is definatly worth it.

I hope someone can help me with my problem.

I was divorced back in 1987, she got the divorce I had a copy of the papers but they were lost in Hurricane Katrina. I thought I knew where she got the divorce but when I called the court they have no record of it.

I have no contact with my ex, have not since 1987, she is remarried, I have tracked down her new name, her husbands name even the town they live in but can not get an addy or phone number for her.

I need these papers for my forms, I don't know if I need to get divorced again, will the embassy think I just got divorced?

Please if you have had this problem or any suggestions I am now stuck on what to do next.
