I just got an RFE ... PD April 17th. Is that usually a bad thing?
Me too, and it sucks! It's my worst nightmare, and it's taking forever to get the letter😢. Hang in there, we'll get through it and hopefully live happily ever after.

Hey all, longtime lurker here. Finally decided to join in on the collective mourning of getting good ole NSC as our service center. Congrats to everyone getting their NOA2!
I do have a question I hope you could kindly answer for me.
I filed the I-130 for my husband in April ‘17, pd is 4/6. We’ve been married for over a year now (dating for much much longer) and our first child was born in August ‘17. We foolishly thought we’d be able to wrap things up by Christmas by obviously that won’t be the case. ☹️ My question is do we send in a copy of our child’s birth certificate as additional evidence and to which address do we send it to? I’ve contacted USCIS customer service already and they were no help. Thanks in advance for your replies!
I'm no expert, but I think you should wait and send it to NVC instead.

Hi,
I live in California and mine was not sent to California Service Center. It was sent to MSC/NBC. Did you do a concurrent filing? ( I-130 w/ I-485, I-765, & I-131) Some people here in VJ says it depends on each service centers work load so they distribute the applications to keep it balance.
No, I only filed I-130. I really don't think that the workload is balance; according to VJ, Texas is working on April and Nebraska is working on January.

Thank you.

Hi,
I live in Florida and my service center is supposed to be Texas service center, can anyone please tell me why they sent my case (I-130 petition) to Nebraska instead?

What is this police clearance I'm seeing everyone post about? Is this something my fiancé has to do along with the medical exam? How does he go about it? He's in Haiti.
This should help: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country/HA.html. He has to go to DCPJ

it can take a while for petitions to be approved, i submitted mine December 7 and it was approved April 16th about 4 months. Between 2-6 Months it should be accepted because there's thousands of cases being processed.
Thank you! I filed it by myself, I guess I'm just worried.

Hello,
I am a USC and I sent my I-130 to the Nebraska service center in April, I got the NOA1 after two weeks. I am still waiting for the second one (to know whether it's denied or approved) after two months . I couldn't find anything for April, if there's someone in the same boat as me, please let me know.
