My wife's EAD has been rejected, please see the message below:

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Case Rejected

On August 15, 2007, we determined that this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION was not properly filed, rejected it, and mailed it back to you with all supporting materials along with a notice describing the reasons the case was rejected. The notice will also describe what will need to be done to properly submit the case.

I am trying to figure out what it can be. Someone has told me that it might be that I have sent them wrong amount or they never got the payment. I sent the money order for $180.00 for EAD, was it the right amount becasue I cant find the old fee schedule. I am so frustrated cuz I already arrange for her job but.....

Why they have to wait 2 months to realize that application was filed WRONG?

It should say in the letter when you receive it, but they return the paperwork usualy if they don't get paid, maybe the check bounced or you included the wrong amount. Let us know what it is when you get the hard copy back. And don't forget to reapply.

I just checked my money order receipt and it was for $180.00, was it the right amount of money for I-765.

Biometrics schedules for 08/22/07.

Hi Everyone,

I had sent the packet on 7/21/07 which was received on 7/23/07. I got the biometric appointment for 8/22/07, but still no NOA1.

I filed from the State of Florida.

Does anybody know when I would be receiving the notice for fingerprints, interview and hopefully Oath ceremony?

Any estimate dates will be appreciated.

I had applied in June, 2005. My fingerprints was done in July, I got the interview letter in October and my interview was on Feb 02, 2007, and mine oath was on 02/17/07.

How much time it takes to get social security card ? I went to the office and receive a letter stating that it will take 4 to 6 weeks?

It takes usually two weeks. In our case we are still waiting for EAD approval, but I have seen other people time line and it is about two weeks or so.

Filed on 07/21/07. Fee paid by money order but has not been cashed yet. No NOA1 either.

I am filling out the I-864 for my friend and I have couple of question regarding Part 5 Sponsors Household Size.

He has three children and he is going to filesd I-864 for each of them, now my question is that when I put one of his kid in part 2 (principal immigrant) then I also count in section d of part 5 or not. Section d of part 5 asks for dependents children.

I have sent my AOS on 7/21/07 and the check has not been cashed and havent got the NOA1 yet. I would ask you guys to share your timing that when did you sent the packet , how long it took for chaeck cashed and when you got the NOA1 ?

My wife EAD case was transferre to CSC before she went for her biometrics. I have seen some people were transferred after thier biometrics and some transferred before that.

No personal experience, but from what I have read in these forums, If you do not get a paper specifically stating AP/AR processing will need to be done on your case, then you are not on AP/AR. Your friend needs to provide the stuff requested by the embassy asap and then his wife should be issued the visa.

It now appears they are taking full set of fingerprints AP or not. So number of fingerprints taken may no longer be a valid way to determine AP/AR. I think it is required by law that they provide the AP/AR paper if they put someone on it. In this forum people get hung up on the color of the paper instead of reading the text on the paper. In all cases that I have seen, it quite clearly states AP/AR. If your friend did not get a paper (whatever color) clearly stating his wifes on AP then she is not, no two ways about it.

I have been just informed from a freind of mine that his wife's interview for K-3 was done yesterday. The consular officer has given him form 194 that indicates that he needs to provide I-864( Joint Sponsor)with all the supporting documents and after that further consideration will be given to his application. However, the embassy has kept his wife's passport and given them a list of courier agents. He has told me that he has been told by the embassy that once the embassy has 1-864 the visa will be in hand in 2-3 days. He is wondering that he can be on AP or not becasue he has not received any paperwork that says his wife will be on AP, however, the emabssy has taken her fingerprints for both hands. Please share any experience that his wife still can be on AP or not.

You will check "a" as your I-130 is approved and that is why you are applying for AOS

But I had proceede with my I-129F.

Hello Guys,

Since most of you have files AOS so I would like to ask couple of question. K-3 is immigrant visa category or nonimmigrant ( I know it can be the silly question) and the medical that we required for AOS is same for all category ot it differs for different visa types.

I would appreciate your help!!
