  1. Hey Megan,

Just to build on what everybody else said there were also plenty of slots available at short notice, I remember I called on the 17th asking to rebook my appointment (that was the following week) to anything the same week if there are cancellations and I was given a date 2 days later (19th of July), what I would say is make sure you leave 5 working days from then to your embassy interview to give enough time for the docs to arrive, although it should be a simple process of passing this data along the chain it can be laborious if your medical results arent there at the time of the interview.

    All the best!

What, no visual genitals check anymore? :jest:

Interesting that they now require a medical summary from your GP.... did they notify you of this in advance?

Yes, they have it up on their website although you'll find Knightsbridge doctors require it but USCIS do not mention it as being necessary. Knightsbridge doctors stipulate 'its a new requirement and if you dont have it your medical will not be processed'

  3. Quick run down on my medical today -

Arrived 20 mins early to my appointment, was asked for all my paperwork as stipulated in the email (this is the email sent by Knightsbridge doctors when booking the appointment), Having done all the running around and fretting in the months previous I had it all ready. This is what is required as per the email -

    a.    Original Passport or UK Driving Licence (photo card not paper licence)
We do NOT accept copies of ID
    b.    4 X Identical Passport style photos - UK or US size
(we accept UK or US sized photographs)
    c.    ACRO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within the last 12 months for anyone 16 years of age & over (if your police certificate is more than one page long please advise Knightsbridge Doctors ahead of your medical as you may need additional time with the Doctor. If you fail to tell us ahead of time you may be asked to come back to go over this for an additional fee).
    d.    Vaccination records - Please provide a vaccination record for the panel to look over on the day to advise if any further vaccines are needed.
Please bring Red Books, if available.
    https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2015/11/vaccine_chart.pdf
Please visit the above link to see which vaccines are required for each age group.
    e.    Completed medical questionnaire which can be found at; https://uk.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/16/2017/05/USA-MEDICAL-QUESTIONNAIRE_IV.pdf
    f.    A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category
    g.     Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. This is a new requirement and may not yet be added to the checklist online or the US EMBASSY LONDON website.
We will keep your medical on hold if you do not have it with you on the day of the appointment. Ask your GP for a Patient Summary.
    h.    If you wear glasses or contact lenses please bring them along to the appointment
    i.    If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc.
    * If your medical notes are very extensive (more than 10 pages) please inform Knightsbridge Doctors before you come for your medical. This required extra time with the doctor to go through your notes. If you do not inform us of this, you will be charged for an appointment slot for the doctor to read these notes.

All handed over and photocopies taken by the clerk, a clipboard with a 3 page form handed back and a urine sample container given and guided to the waiting room. Two jugs of water are placed her to get the subject ready for what is to follow, having filled up on water I began with the form, this was very straightforward Yes/No questions covering your past medical history with things such as if you've have had a fever or cough to mental health issues. You are instructed to complete page 1 while the latter pages are completed by the doctor overseeing the check. Urine sample and paperwork completed was submitted back to the reception lady

Within 5 minutes I was called in for an Xray, a very kind and polite gentleman took an xray of my chest which was a seemless procedure. The xray is generated on the screen infront of you so an untrained eye can tell if something is out of the  ordinary or alternatively the gentleman was happy to share all seemed in order. Then back to the waiting room after exchanging pleasantries.

Now its waiting for the medical check which happened approx 10 mins later, there are numerous rooms where I believe the various medicals take place. It began with signing paperwork authorising the medical and then looking over and double checking the answers I had written. I was asked if I had ever been arrested amongst other things. He went over the patient summary and the vaccinations history provided by my GP practice. I didnt have my redbook as I dont believe these were the norm in the 90's when I was growing up but my vaccination record sufficed.

Then it was regular checks like height, weight (to calculate BMI), blood pressure, pulse, blood tests, various prodding on different body parts - arms, arm pits, rib cage, top of the groin just beneath the waist, chest, back, legs and feet. I think this was all to see if there was anything out of the ordinary, maybe a lump of some sort. There was your regular eye test covering one eye and reading some letters from afar.

After this I was all done, paid the wonderful awe inspiring fee of £300 and bid farewell! I was done in around an hour although they suggest a time of 90 minutes. Regarding the letter from the embassy confirming the case number I submitted the letter written out to me that came at the same time as the NOA2. It stated my case number and immigration category and mentioned what steps to follow next.

All the best to the people going through the process, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Sooooo frustrated! I finally got a reply to the online email form for London Consulate and they sent me his LND case number by email! They said they sent us a letter on 9 May :( so we just lost 10 weeks for NO REASON! We received the letter approving our DCF I-130 pertition in the mail dated 5 May, and then never got the second letter! So annoying!! argh :( Finally got interview for next week 26 July, but we could have gotten it in May if they hadn't lost (didn't send?!) the letter!

Really sorry to hear that, I hope your next step is much more fruitful and painless! Your one day out from me, I've got my interview booked for the 27th of July. Please let me know how yours goes! Are you planning on taking evidence of relationship? I'm considering taking joint bills etc....

    All the best!

    Thanks for sharing the info!

Our London DCF spousal visa case seems to be taking much longer than others? Maybe it is because my husband is not British?

We filed in February, got NOA2 informing us that our petition (i-130) was approved on 9 May 2017 (after one request for evidence because I had left a box blank instead of writing NOT APPLICABLE). We still have not received the LND number / packet 3 :( I emailed the embassy last week (end of the 8th week)...

Don't know what else to do but wait!

    Megan

I had the same thing Megan, They said under other aliases we should have put N/A and now they need an affidavit to say thats what should have been there.

I woul try calling and emailing to check up on it, When I called the NVC line they werent able to help much but when I contacted USCIS London they were fairly response and have guidelines to respond within 5 working days.

    Goodluck

I booked my medical and interview straight after completing my DS-260.

My medical is on the 18th and my interview is on the 28th.

I received my LND number a week and a half after my approval.

Thanks, I wasnt sure if it was upon having the medical you book the appointment or upon scheduling, it seems like it is the latter.

    All the best!

  6. Hi Guys,

Just want to share some info on my application so far, not a timeline but just something bit of information that might help others -

I got my NOA1 in April but didnt not get my NOA2 until this week. I had numerous RFE requests of which some was my error (not getting exact photo requirements as stipulated) and some the embassies (asking for the same marriage certificate twice). During this time I was eagerly tracking how the processing times were progressing and I began recording it to calculate averages and forecast when our case would be seen to after which I just happened to continue. -

Date Processing Days progressed Days worked
    10-Apr-17 1-Feb-17   4
    18-Apr-17 9-Feb-17 8 4
    21-Apr-17 15-Feb-17 6 5
    28-Apr-17 15-Feb-17 0 9
    12-May-17 24-Feb-17 9 5
    19-May-17 24-Mar-17 28 5
    30-May-17 28-Apr-17 35 4
    2-Jun-17 2-May-17 4 5
    9-Jun-17 10-May-17 8 5
    16-Jun-17 17-May-17 7 5
    23-Jun-17 24-May-17 7 5

If anybody has any questions please feel free to ask, i'll keep people updated using this thread.

  7. Hi Guys,

Slight conundrum - I'm filling the form i-130 for a marriage based visa. I had the NOA1 back in April and now I have been told there are some anomalies with my submission.

I must submit an up to date i-130 - The form i submitted was correct at time of filing but during the processing time USCIS said they will no longer accept older versions of the form.

I have been asked to complete the G-325a also but the only version I see on the link in the letter I received is the form from 2015 expiring in June, now I'm concerned they will pull me up on submitting an old form here but I cant find any newer versions of this despite reading narratives from USCIS explaining the 02/27/2017 version g-325a must now be used but with no link to this.

Has anybody by any chance got this form or got any knowledge on this area?

Tried calling the national visa centre, tried calling the embassy.

    Thanks
