It is illegal to discriminate against you. You can very easily win a lawsuit if that is truly the case. I don't think the employer is that stupid though. Try to prove that you were solely denied employment based on your immigration status.
If you don't want to take them to court, kindly ask them to verify your employment eligibility using the SAVE system.
