  1. I filed husband's application and it was sent to the Texas service center. Our priority date is March 14th 2018. On October 12th I received an email stating that his application has been transferred to my local office. My husband chose to voluntarily depart and I bailed him out as apart of the voluntary departure. He has been residing  in Mexico for over a year. Any similar experience with this situation? I've heard that petitions get lost in lala land once routed to these local offices or that the petitioner is called to be interviewed separately. We have a month and a half before we can submit an Inquiry.

Wow. What’s that mean? Transferred to local office?

Yes it was transferred to "my local office. I'm not sure exactly what it means but I've had previous interaction with the office when my husband was going through his voluntary departure. I've visited that same office on more than two occasions and I also bailed him out of the I.C.E detention center, which is apart of the voluntary departure process. That's the only thing I can think of. I hear that they some times interview the petitioner only and I'm guessing that is what this is, it's seriously stressing me out. We have a child together, she's so little and I can imagine how confusing it is for her being dragged back and forth between our countries and her possibly forgetting her father.

  3. Well, as of October 13th my husbands case was transferred to " my local office" after waiting 7 months. P.D is March 14th 2018 . Anyone with any info or experience. I've heard and read nothing but horror stories or nothing at all after the fact. It seems as if they transfer the case to the office and they do not acknowledge or respond that your case has been sent to the there. I called and they told me what I already know and I can't submit an inquiry until another month and a half. Feeling super discouraged... My husband is in Mexico after voluntarily deporting the U.S for a visa overstay.
