  3. Here`s fair warning to any scheduled for fingerprinting at the ASC in the Bronx, NY..............Bundle up!!

Appointment scheduled for 10a.m....you arrive by 9.30a.m and there`s a queue outside the center....

Only those actually getting their fingerprints are allowed in.

Suggestion? If you have a 10a.m appointment, you dont have to wait until 10a.m. They open the center at 8a.m and it seems to me that they will perform the prints as long as you are scheduled for that day.

Well thats my fair warning for the day...hope someone finds it useful....

I HAVE MY BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENT TOMORROW..THIS INFO REALLY HELP. BUT MY BIOMETRIC IS IN BELLFLOWER CALIFORNIA, JUST DOWN THE STREET WHERE I LIVE. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED.

  6. you have everything in other, but try amke make sure you have enough pics, i think 35 is not enough,

add more pics, cuz during my interview, the CO was asking for more after showing him 150pics.

and never give the CO any doc. expect he/she ask for it. Above all be confident and have faith.

I wish you all the best.

  7. Hello Friends, you dont need to go with thousands of e-mails and dont ever blackout anything if you dont want to go back to the consulate for the second time. during my interview, although the guy asked of my emails correspondence, but he did not look at it, all he went thru. was the posted mails. we'll the CO might asked how do you communicate, so you tell him thru emails and phone. During my case, i told him emails, mails, phones and he asked i should provide the evidence of the emails and i gave him the posted mails and while looking at it, he said, am still waiting for your emails and while bringing it out, he said , ok..i see you have enough evidence and that was it. i wish you all the best and gods favor.

All i will say is just be compose and organize and confident..with that you will overcome. I hope to talk with you and charles later.

  8. Hello everyone, i know everyone has been very busy not to wish me all the best prior my interview , well, everything went so great. got the 6am, lined up and went into the consulate 6.45am and i was called by a black nigerian lady to submit all my docs. the affidavis, passport, ds156 forms, medical and the police certificate. so i was aske dto be sitted and last was called by this white guy around 12.35pm and was interview. he's a nice guy, we chatted and he asked about my docs. and i gave it to him and he love the way i filled my doc. in a folder, it was so colorful and organized and he told me that am so organized and i have really preparde for them and the other CO around him, heard what he said and they came to look at it and they love it and he asked who packaged the folder and i said my wife. at the end of everything he asked me to show my photos and mails, which i did and the first mail he read was the mail where my wife with anoyances bullshit the immigrations...and he was like wow, she bullshit up here and all the CO's there were laughing and at the end of it all, he gave me a letter to come pick up the visa on tuesday, but when he was entering the name in the system, some names came up that are same with my lastname, and he asked if i have ever been to the usa and i said know and asked as well, if i have any brother thatbears my lastname and calle dthere first names, about 4peoples names and i said no, so he said i need to do all my fingerprint, and he gave me a letter nand i was told to pay $85 and should come on friday morning 9am for the 10 fingers fingerprinting.

my question, have any one gone thru the fingerprinting and how long does it take to get the result so i can o pick up my visa.

i wish everyone all the best , lagos consulate is calm now and the CO's are friendly, just be composed and be organized.

i need to hearing from you all asap.

  9. If nothing else, depending on time available to you, i suggest that you have with you, some copies of the pay stubs of the dependants of your fiancee who are currently working. As much of the current paystubs that they have will be helpful in supporting your case. You can effectively argue that they are dependents who are contributing to the household income.

I hope your fiancee can ensure that you receive those paystubs or some other proof of employment for those dependants that are currently working. This may not technically be seen as co-sponsorship but i think it will show that the dependants "on paper" that your fiancee have are now becoming independent by their income. I am sure having such documents will help your case greatly.

If these paystubs cannot get to you in time, then i would suggest a carefully worded letter from employer stating salary that the dependants make. Such a letter from employer can be faxed to you. It will be better than nothing. If this faxed letter has contact information, then it allows the consular officers a little opportunity to verify the information stated on the letter of employment if need be.

Stay positive and be ready to articulate yourself well about the current situation with the consular officer. Sometimes they can listen but most times they must see documents to approve. Try your best.

I wish you all the best.

thanks alot and i really appreciate your contributions..... i will let you know the outcome of the interview tomorrow. Thanks once again.

  10. To add to that, do any of her dependants work? I dont know if they are all kids or elderly people but if any of her dependants works and seems to be adding to the "household income", that should help.

I agree with the idea of getting a co-sponsor and having that ready just in case. If you also have any proof of tangible assets/income on your side, that may help.....may underscored.

her mother and her nephew 18yrs old who is in college now and have a job as well and the 2 other kids, but there mother is back to work now after 3 years of not working due to a back surgery she had. so, this is why the kids are dependants of her. She just sent me a letter from her work stating her position, salary and permanency of the job. On her 2004 tax refund she made34k but 2005 is 29k, cuz she was out of work for awhile and was not paid.

  11. please i need help , i'm getting so nervous as the day for the interview is getting closer. as i read here that lagos did not accept joint sponsor and for other it was sucessful with joint sponsor. this is my case, my wife have a job, she has been working there since 2002 and she make 30k yearly, but on her tax return she have 4 people that depend on her plus her it will make 5people for year 2005, and now adding me to it, it will be 6 so i want to know if there is no need for joint sponsor i looked at the poverty guideline, she meet up with the 100% (26,800) but not with the 125%(33,500) .... what do you think my VJ members. I really need your input with this.

Do i still need to go for joint sponsor or i use whatever she sent to me for the i-134.
