  1. Hi there,

I got a F-1 visa to study an intensive english course for 4 months.

When I entered the US through the customs at the airport, I gave to the officer all the documents (passport with the visa and I-20) and after a few questions they let me in without any trouble. The thing is that in the seal that is in my passport only says that I can stay in the US for 90 days and they didn't give me any paper or something about my visa. Is this OK? I read that they should give you a paper to check if you're in status and the I-94 card. Is this true? I'm pretty freaked out! My course starts the next monday!

Do you know what I need to check if I'm in status?

    Awaiting for your prompt response.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi guys!!

Recently, I got a F-1 visa and I would like to know whether I have to do something else before taking a flight to the US. I know that it's mandatory for the interview at customs to bring a few documents (I-20, Financial Statement, Passport and Acceptance Letter from my school), but I don't know whether I have to do something else on top of that.

    Awaiting for your prompt response.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Hi everybody!

Our I-129F was approved yesterday. So now we are in the stage that NVC is waiting for receive the I-129F.

I'm going to visit my girlfriend this week for just 5 days. Am I allowed to visit the US during these stages of the process?? Just the idea of being rejected in the Customs and don't see my girlfriend in months freaks me out a lot. I can't wait to see her!!

Thanks in advance for your help

    Best regards

  4. Hi everyone,

My fiancée and I applied for the Visa K-1 and after waiting 5 months we got a RFE (Request For Evidence). They ask for:

    • Beneficiary’s intent to marry in the US
    • Evidence of meeting in person in the last two years

We already sent a statement saying my intention to get married (I'm the beneficiary), but I think it was too simple and incomplete, so I hope whether we send a new one more complete and saying that my intent is to get married during the 90 days of the Visa K-1 (with wet signature) would be enough. Handwritten also?We can't show them anything about the wedding because we are waiting for the Visa K-1 to start to arrange it. What do you think? Any idea?

We are more worried about the "Evidence of meeting in person in the last two years".  We don't understand why they need more evidence because we sent pictures, airplane tickets, hotels receipts. We don't know what else we can provide them to show that we saw each other during these last two years. I think that we can provide them photocopies of our passports (all the pages). Any piece of advise?

    More doubts that we have:

    - Do we have to send again the full pack (all the forms, etc) or it's enough with the two things that they are asking for and the RFE?

    - Do you know any way to prove that a picture was taken on X date? For instance, a way to print the date on the picture or something like that.

PD: They don't say in the RFE that they lost the documents they are asking for, so I guess that they just need everything more detailed and complete.
