i u dont have ot go to kingston it can be done in montego bay it cost $95 usd for medical an u need to bring $8000 ja incase u nedd addational shots......i hope he has had chicken pox b4 (dat shot was costly)

i got there at 8 30 an left by about 12:00 ( however go planning to spend longer) as to wat they did first i got chest x ray then, they took blood, then they weighed an measured my height, then came the shots one in each arm, then finally a simle physical with the doc he looked in my ear litened to my hear lungs an stuff an the felt for ne in my stomach an dat was it.

Rohan is in Kingston as we speak so if they don't give him the packet then we will just have to wait.

I will just have to pray they accept the DS-230 and give him his interview date right then and there.

In kingston there is a hotel named Knutsford Court Hotel. Has anyone ever stayed there before?

i have never stayed ther but its very popular here in jamaica............ i see them advertise al the t ime on tvj an they sponsor a local televesion show called rising star .

just got back from medical at motego bay hope medical, i was really nervous but all in all it went well, for all of u who have upcoming medicals pls feel free to post ur qusetions?.................only interview left

Just a quick correction...the medical forms are in PACKET 4 with your interview letter. Packet 3 is the one that I would not be over worried about getting because you can download all the necessary forms from the internet!!!

Wynter.....they do a blood test so if he smokes regularly.....maybe 3 months would be the best before he goes for his medical.............don't let him tell you that he can drink some special "bush tea"...it does not work!!!!Another couple I know tried it and they got a big fat denial at the embassy!!!!! I did not have to worry because Duane does not smoke but I was freaked because folks smoke so much all around and I was afraid he would test positive just for second-hand smoke.......(I know...I am a paranoid freak!!!!)

i dont know about b4 now......but i just picked up both my pac 3 an 4 at the embassy an the pac 3 had everthing INCLUDING MEDICAL FORMS when i got pac 4 it was only the letter in it ........but u still cant do the medical without the appointment letter

huh? dats weird cuz on my packet 3 it says this"if u have any jamaican resident children who will be accompaying you who are aged 18 or older, each such child must present a certificateof non-impediment to marriage issued by the registrar general department on security paper" i wll cal the embassy tmrwo jus to make sure. ( plus we married already)

i know this is a stupid quetion here ...but wat the hell.....this certificate of non- impediment to marriage........if u have no kid .......it means u dont have to get it right? ( i know very stupid question)

The passport can be ordered now but it takes a while so he should get on that ASAP!!!!!

this is # i use to call the embassy an get thru in less than 15mins everytime (876) 929 4850 to 9 if u get automated system dont press nething jus wait for a while an it will connect u to a person directly

yes its october 13th i call yesterday an they told me... my wife (savanphil) is very happy but im nervous , i wil pick up my police rec an pac 4 on friday

some useful info for those who are waitng on packet 3 or packet 4 i went to kingston last week tp pick up my pac 3 the embassy recived our case on the 18th an after waiting almost 2 weeks an nothing in the mail ( still have not got it in mail) i decided to go an get it my self i had no probs with security i jus told them wat i was there to do an they let me right thru an point me to the information window there wre quite a few ppl waitng i waited for a hour and a hlf b4 i got thru the lady at he window was very nie an helpful she gave me the pac an tell me i can fill out d230 part now an give it back if i have all the info or i can take it an mail it in since i was coming from 3 hrs away i was prepared i had read over a copy of it online so i had al the info ready an filled it out n gave it right back to her . now if u are coming from far a word of advice kill 2 birds with one stone make sure u have everything ready to apply for your police record an jus do it same t ime becuz u can wiat till the embassy sends out pac 4, and just pick up pac4 an ur police record on the same day ( n.b ur police rec takes 3-4 days express $2000 an 21 days regular $ 1000) my advice is to all do not i reapeat dont wait more than 2 weeks for ne of the packets to reach u snail mail becuz while i was waiting in line at he embassy i cant tell u how many person where ther becuz they missed their interview becuz thye got the letter late. hopemy info was helpful
