hi guys. i have a question cause there seems to be some confusion on the 90 day rule for n400 application.

my husband and i got married 3/10/06. ive been an LPR since 9/11/06. my 10 yr. greencard expires 02/04/2019.

can we go ahead and apply now???

i live in CA. i just went to my local DMV with the extension letter and the notice of limited term driver's license that was sent to me by DMV. they didn't have a problem with the extention letter, luckily, and they issued me a new DL. However, the lady punched hole my license so you can't see the year it expires, which is SEPT 2008. She gave me an interim DL that is printed on paper, took my picture, and said that the new card will arrive within 3 weeks... i'm not sure when my new DL will expire but i'll post it as soon as i get it.

i'm glad it went smoothly but now my DL has a hole in it... anyone else had the same experience???

you MIGHT have to take a test again if ur DL already expired.

hey all. i have really bad fingerprints and i got a letter from USCIS with a new appt to do biometrics. i'm guessing this will delay my case, but i'm hoping it won't delay it as much. my question is what will happen if my fingerprints get rejected AGAIN. is there another way to do it or will i have to keep on rescheduling? has anyone else gone through this?

Happens a LOT. Only thing I can say is do a walkin ASAP and see if they can check and see if prints are good enough while you are there. They are normally open Saturdays!!!

wth are they serious? i live in california. anyone else had the same problem? so how are we suppose to drive until then? and from reading some of the stories on how the USCIS is taking forever in ordering/approving the 10 yr GC, we might not be able to drive until lord knows when!?!?!?!

1. they can get your account number off your personal cheque and they've got your SSN, so they can get the info if they need to. I didn't bother blacking everything out, IMHO it's a waste of time and not sure if that would hurt your case or not.

2. I used staples to clip parts of a document together, and binder clips to put the whole package together.

hi all. we're about to get started on putting together our packet and i just have a few questions.

1. is it ok to block out the contents of our mails (such as checking/savings account number, amount of money in account) and just leave the name and address showing?

2. can we use staples/pins?

maybe include a few pictures but I wouldn't include them all...

remember to include a photocopy of the front and back of the green card...

Hi all. so i recently mailed my I 90 form and checked reason "d" (administrative error) but now i'm afraid i've used the wrong address. i read (and was told by someone from the uscis help center) that u send it to the address that your card came from since that is where they processed the application for the I551 card.

However, i only used the P.O. box adress that was on the I551 notice. i called again today and was told that i should've sent it to the full address and not just the P.O box, which is where i sent it to, for the Missoury Service Center.

Has anyone else done this? and if so, did uscis send u back your I90 and all the documents you sent or did they forward it to the correct address? any advice/response will be greatly appreciated

Our case was approved AND my aunt's and uncle's as well, and theirs was complicated. they were on the removal proceeding case and Reeves helped them out and were approved. i do, however have to say that Reeves can get quite expensive. If your case is complicated, i'd highly recommend them. you can also read about their lawyers' profile on their website, so it's good.

hi everyone! i'm afraid i'm now part of the green card error club! they've put in the wrong birthdate! ugh! now instead of me being 25, according to the GC, i'm only 15 yrs. old. i hope it won't take that long to get the new and correct gc, but looking at some of you guys' timeline, it could even take up to 9-10 mos! i'll keep ya'll posted once we mail the I90 form and hear something from uscis.

i registered on the USCIS website for the email update. i was so sad and worried after our interview yesterday when the officer said she'll let us know within 30 days what her decision was BUT..........

i got emails from the CRIS (USCIS) saying that a welcome notice was mailed today for the I485 and that the I130 was APPROVED!!!! i'm HOPING that this means we can breath and relax a little. this is good news right? just making sure...

we just had our interview yesterday and the officer said an adjudicative review of your case is needed. ( so confused about this) we've got about 30 days (hopefully less than that) to go... *Sigh*

but i guess i'm still wondery why the officer couldn't say why she still needed to do a review if it's the pending FBI namecheck. i thought officers usually say something like i can't approve your case yet because your name hasnt' been cleared...

i'm worried it's something else. right now, i'm thinking maybe it has something to do with my bday because when i went for my fingerprinting, my bday came up as my entry date to the US instead of my actual bday when they scanned the letter from USCIS.

i had called my lawyer and asked her about this but she said this isn't something to worry about and that they wrote the correct bday so maybe INS typed it in wrong. but now, i'm overthinking everything and i remembered being asked what my bday was 2x at the interview yesterday and the officer wanted to see an ORIGINAL AND COPY of my birth certificate, both of which i showed her...
