Hi, I'm curious if you resolved the issue. Have you submitted the affidavit? Did they issue a temporary refusal or what status is your application in right now? Hope all goes well, it must be very frustrating to go through this.

This may be a stupid question, but how come some people from the same country get interview dates while others don't?

Random example: there's 5 people from country X who got CC around the same time in May, but only 3 of them got interview dates. Is there a rule on how interviews get scheduled?

Hi, I'm wondering when do most people book their flights to the US? I'm tempted to buy the tickets as soon as I receive my interview date, but some people say you should wait until after the interview to book the flights. What do you think?

Hey folks – sorry if this is a stupid question, but if I had a case complete on May 16, when should I expect the email from NVC with the interview date? Right now my case still says "at nvc". Thanks in advance.

Hi all – grateful for all the knowledge shared here, helped me a lot.

I have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

I called NVC recently and they told me my case has been in review for almost two weeks and they didn't want to give me an estimate on how long it's gonna stay in review. I'm still within the 11 weeks timeframe though. Is this normal or should I be concerned? From what I saw on the forum, most people's cases stay in review only a couple of days or so...

I should mention that I'm EB-3. Do you think this is why it takes longer?
