If I were you, this is how I would format her name.

    first: Chau

    middle: thi minh

    last: Nguyen

thi is always a middle name. Another way is Minh Chau thi Nguyen. But it might confuse people putting Chau as a middle name, but not always the case.

    Thanks!

It has been a while but I don't remember there was a Middle Name field on the DS160. You are asked for First and Given names only. I remember putting my wife's First + Middle1 + Middle2 as Given name.

Again, this is the DS160 form.

    Thanks!

  2. Hello Everyone,

I'm new here.  I read  a lot of topic which are talking about Vietnamese name issue.

my wife name is: Nguyen Thi Minh Chau

should I fill in the I-130 form like this format:

    Last Name: Nguyen

    First Name: Chau Thi Minh

    Middle Name: <empty >

I heard that people wrote in other thread that I need to follow her Vietnamese passport which is:

    Last Name: Nguyen

    First Name: Thi Minh Chau

    Middle Name: <empty>

I'm concern if we follow the Vietnamese passport format. Her visa and i-94 will has the same format.  she will has issue with Greencard, SSN, etc.. later.

    Any input, I appreciated.

  3. Hello Everyone,

I have struggle  to filling new i-130. My wife is Vietnamese. Her address in Vietnam  likes this: 47 LE VAN THINH STREET, QUARTER 5, BINH TRUNG DONG WARD, DISTRICT 2, HO CHI MINH CITY

The item 11.a Street Number and Address is  limiting 35 characters. I couldn't put all of her address in there.  Have anyone filled the new form i-130 and have issue like me?

    Any comments would be appreciated

    Thank You!
