Hello All,

Just want to share my status in case anyone is in the same boat. Always nice to compare process times.

I am an early September 2017 I-485 filer originally through Fiance Visa and have had the case status on USCIS "Ready to schedule interview" late September as stayed that way about for 10 months.

Monday, June 11th, 2018 my husband gets a text message that our case status has been updated on USCIS to "On June 11, 2018, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice."

Still no letter in the mail with an official interview date.

Anyone else with a similar timeline? how long did you wait for the official interview date to come in the mail? how far out in advance was your interview scheduled for? I'm hoping we will have an interview in mid-July.

Congratulations on your approval. The NVC process length varies. For me, it took 3 weeks for NVC to receive the case from CSC and within 3-4 days my status was READY on CEAC meaning that the case had been received by the embassy. The general advice here is to start calling NVC about 2 weeks after your approval. 

Thanks for the advice! just out of curiosity what is it that you are looking for when you call the NVC? does this typically speed up the process? sorry so new to this

May 15th i received an Approval Notice from the California Service Center and it looks like we were officially approved May 8th and states that it is going to be transferred to the NVC in New Hampshire!  such a relief, one step closer

Has anyone gone through and completed the NVC process and has any advice or feedback? how long does it typically take for the case to get passed over to the Embassy/Consulate of the home country? from reading some of the comments in the forum it looks like people are calling the NVC for the case number, just wondering how come, should i be doing this too  ? just looking for peoples experiences.  it would be much appreciated.

 Just thought I would share my journey since I too am a December filer  applying for my Fiance in Macedonia. I was hoping to see if some one else got a RFE request and is still waiting. 

Filed I129-F: December 20th 2016

I129-F Received: December 27th 2016

My Notice Date: January 6th 2017

- waited 4 months .... crickets -

Received Request for Evidence: April 20th 2017 (notice date aka when they sent it April 14th 2017, with an Alien Number)

Sent RFE express received and notified: April 24th 2017 (they wanted us to send two passport photos of each of us taken in the past 30 days)

Right now I'm still waiting for the response to the RFE its been 2 weeks exactly on to the third week. Did anyone else receive a RFE around the same time frame and hear back already?
