did your online status change after interview?

Thought I'd share my InfoPass experience today with you guys.
A little background: Had my interview back in July and was told decision cannot be made. Received an RFE mid-September to provide documents that my wife and I are living in marital union and submitted them in October. Didn't hear anything after that, and after a few calls, I was told my application was approved 10/28/17.
My appointment was 8 am this morning (I figured I'd go there before work) and after going through security, I was on the third floor at 7:50 - I found the floor basically empty (compared to being flooded with people waiting for their interviews). Took a number and was sitting in front of an officer in less than 10 minutes. Explained the situation and he looked up my case and said that my case was indeed approved, but since they have been splitting the offices of 26 Federal Plaza have been split, my file has been sitting on the supervisors desk (since the officer that interviewed me approved it) and it was just there collecting dust since they're behind on scheduling oath ceremonies.
He filed a request for me and in the description, he wrote "N400 approved. Schedule ASAP." and told that I should hear back within two weeks, and if I don't hear back in two weeks, I should come back to the same window (without an appointment) and see him and jokingly said, "This is called accountability!"
He, honestly, gave me a little ray of hope and I really hope that my status changes soon.
Good luck to all of us still waiting!
I have made an online inquiry about my case being outside processing times on 25th January. Couple of minutes ago I received an answer saying that I am currently in process of being scheduled for an oath ceremony and will be mailed with date time and place.
Note, however, that I did not get an online update since interview (a bit over two weeks) which still says interview scheduled. Also 2 days ago I spoke with an immigration officer on phone wjo said my file was on quality review since interview day even though it was recommended for approval. A day later they are saying it is being scheduled for oath. No online update whatsoever.
Email I received was from Queens Field Office but i am not sure about the "accountability" as they may ne just making it up as they go. I believe pushing your case number in their faces repeatedly gets a lot of attention in a positive way and I would recommend everyone to do the same. Otherwise your paper files may sit on the desk and collect dust until somebody notices.

I think I was put in line for oath the very same or next day. Are you still not even "in line" for oath?
Note that infopass meetings are on a different floor (I think on 3rd floor) vs. where the supervisors are (7th floor for NYC filers, same as where the interviews are).
No it has been 2 weeks simce interview, no movement. On the phone an immigrarion officer said it went to review next day after interview for quality check. And i have to wait till they put it in line. It was approved on spot though.

So they actually said that they are scheduling december interviewees now? Which means they will put me in line sometime in February. Hopefully. I have an infopass in 9th February, lets see if I can manage to speak to the supervisor and ask him for scheduling early.
When did they put you in line for oath online? How many days after your interview?

I got my greencard on 2012. I won it at lottery, to my luck I was already a J 1 intern in New York so I did adjustment of status at USCIS instead of embassy. We jave similar timelines.
Anyway it says 7th floor, u will go to window 1 at 7th floor and show them your appointment, they will send u to appropriate floor later on.
Keep calm though, inteeview is so fast and easy, they dont really care about anything just want to see you and confirm your n400 form answers.

No.. no name change, based on 5 years of residence, no tickets, no nothing. Very straightforward. Mine was in 26 federal plaza as well. 3rd floor queens field office.

You can find out oath ceremony dates by goimg to new york eastern district courts page. It is also all over the internet, 500 pearl street court holds oath ceremonies wvery friday.
Most likely there was no oath ceremonies since christmas so we are waiting for people before us. I would recommend asking inteeviever if it ia possible to get oath letter right away because i know many people got their letters the same day as interview.

Just got off the phone with an immigration officer saying my case went to supervisor review the next day of interview even though it was approved it is a standard process. They alao said that since it is in the final stages they cant put an expedite request to it and all i have to do is wait till they put me in line for oath ceremony. It is so weird that NYC holds oath ceremonies every friday and most people get scheduled for oath in a couple of days while some of them waits for weeks and months.
It has already been almost 10 months since I sent my application but here I am waiting 2 weeks after interview for an oath ceremony update.
-
How long it takes to be put in line for oath in NY? It has been 10 days since interview amd I was recommended for approval but since then there has been no change in my online status?
-
Anybody have any idea of when you are put in line for oath ceremony after the interview in New York?
I passed the interview 16th January and unlike many others my status was not updated since then.
What`s the criteria when putting people in line? I have already waited 10 months for an interview and Field office processing times indicate that they are currently working on 14th April cases.

Do make an INFOPASS appointment asap. You should`ve been in line for interview like 4 months ago at least.

Hi, couldnt write any updates for a while even though there were many.
I have received my interview scheduled message on December 9, received the letter dated for January 16 at federal plaza NY. Passed and approved on spot for recommendation.
Can anybody from NY shed some light on the waiting process for oath letter? Even the application was approved the IO said that there is another person who approves these after them and even though it should take couple of weeks for oath ceremony, it is usually much earlier than that.
Most people from NY gets their online status updated in seconds after interview, i disnt get any updates after 5 days.
What is the trend in NYC cases nowadays for oath scheduling?
Also can someone update my info, thanks.

Case status changed to in line for interview as of 6/2/2017 as we predicted; exactly one month prior to 5th year anniversary of my greencard.
Please update my case. Lets wait.

I bet your online status will be changed by tomorrow the real waiting game is started after the "inline" lol. It took some people 2,5 months for the entire process. Since some others average is 6-7months now. Let's see who will be luckier :))
Yeah, in NYC most people receive an interview date between 5-6 months from receipt date. In Trackitt there is somebody who got an interview date yesterday after waiting for just a month after bio. The thing is if they don`t issue my interview date until mid July, I will go back to my country for a 5.5 month vacation (i was out of U.S. for a total of 61 days only for the past 7 years) and sublet my apartment to a friend who will check my mail regularly so that I can come back for the interview. Most people are against the travel thing but I have things to do back home regardless. It should be O.K. I think, as long as I mention it during the interview?
-
I had placed an inquiry through USCIS to see why they did not place me in line for interview even though I did my biometrics a month ago. This was 21 days ago and nobody responded to my inquiry till today. They sent me an email saying that my case is waiting for an interview date to be assigned by the local USCIS office, which means even if your online status doesnt reflect it yet, in their systems you might be in line already.
Also after a month of silence, I realized USCIS started to be more proactive since they responded my inquiry and a lot of people are put in line yesterday and today.
Hopefully there will be a lot of movement this month for everyone.
I applied EXACTLY 3 months earlier like most people. My 5 year will be completed 2nd July, which according to some people means that tomorrow my case should be "in line for interview" before the end of the day. Lets see if that is true or not for everybody.

I`ll just add my timeline here, would appreciate it if someone adds me to the list.
Seems like it will be a long wait since most people receive an interview date around 5-7 months after the biometrics.
