I would not worry too much, I know it will be this week
About the "several weeks" part, I think that they are saying this in case they found something during the background checks or if there is an important problem which could cause an important delay.. They warn people in case that something like that happens.
The part "if your visa application is approved it will be processed and mailed within 2 business days", at the end of the message, is more important to focus on, because we already know that we are approved !
Check your status! Ours was issued today!

Also, don't forget that it's summer time, some of them may have took vacation days.. It could explain why it's taking more time than the months before
Didnt we luck out! His status says the same, updated July 11th. It's the part about several weeks that I don't like! Fingers crossed it'll be this week for us both.

I would say go on the embassy page and inquire about it. That's what I had to keep doing to see any kind of update to the case.
Just checked the case again and it went from received to "administrative processing could take several weeks" what in gods name is this??

When was the last update. Ours showed Application received and two days later it changed to issued. Yes they do observes Bastille day. And you can inquire about your case. I did that after the two days was up and it shows issued a couple of hours later.
We got the application received notice on the 11th, two business days prior to the holiday. Crossing our fingers that something happens tomorrow seeing as he already booked a ticket for the end of the week

did you check the CEAC status to see where they are and the last time it was updated. We received ours within a week or so after submitting the document we were missing.
It says that the application was received "if you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days" I'm not sure if the American embassy observes Bastille day but perhaps this could be the reason why it's taking a bit longer? It's been 12 days since the interview now.

We just got our NVC case #, what now? What is this status thingy? why should I check it? What else do I have to do now?
Oh God, I'm so stressed. I just don't know where to start!
I'm on the same boat. I called twice and the first woman I spoke to was very curt and unhelpful. I called back the next day and a more friendly associate told me that we'd have to wait for the NVC to process our petition and that we'd have to prepare for the next six steps. When I spoke to my lawyer today, she said that the nvc should be sending the petition directly to the embassy and that the nvc doesn't deal with the fiancé visas the same way they do the others. She added that the next step would be to file the ds160 and the i134 and wait for the embassy to contact us. Can anyone shed some light as to whether these six steps theough nvc are a part of the process or not?

What is your NOA2 date? Um .. i guess you have to wait for package 3 with the instructions. Maybe you can start filing out the DS-160?
Noa2 date was may 22nd. Everything has been going according to the expected timeframe. My partner lives in France and we're both kinda clueless as to what happens next. Do I fill out the ds-160? Who receives the package? So many questions too specific for google search to narrow down..

Hello all, I called the Nvc today and received my case and invoice numbers. When I asked what the next step was all the associate had to say was "pay the fees" this was very vague and then she hung up on me. I'm very confused as to what the next step is. The case is yet to be sent to the embassy. What fees and what paperwork remains?

Hello all,
first time poster here. My case was received January 30th and the notice date was February 1st so I fall in between January and February filers. I've looked at data from both pages and haven't found my number on either, is this something to be concerned about? As of last I checked, the uscis tracking shows the same thing it did three months ago stating that my case was received. Like all of you here I'm growing impatient, tired and worrisome.
