I hope to receive my oath letter soon too...my status is still "in line for oath scheduling".

Went to infopass this morning. They conformed that I was apporved and in line for oath scheduling. I asked if there was any way I could get an oath letter today and she said it would have been possible if there were open slots but due to the holidays they have already filled up all available January oath slots. She said I will receieve an oath letter in the next 2 weeks for the February 22nd ceremony. I guess there is no choice but to wait another month

I had my interview on January 4th in Houston with a very nice and pleasant IO. Everything went really well except I got the "decision cannot be made yet" at the end of my interview. She asked me to send in a certified arrest record for a traffic related misdemeanor charge that was over 10 years old even though I had submitted the court disposition. I returned the requested evidence the very next day and waited everyday for a status update. The next update I got was a post decision notice online saying the supervisor review was complete on Januay 13th. I was nervous about what that meant so I called the custmer service number on January 17th and talked to a level 2 officer who checked on the status and playfully whispered "Welcome to America! you are approved!" I was ecstatic to hear this so I asked her when I would get my oath letter and she said it could take up to 6 months! I hope she is wrong and I can get a spot in the January 26th oath ceremony otherwise I will have to wait until February as Houston has monthly oath ceremonies. I got excited for a minute when I got a letter from USCIS in the mail today but it was a copy of the N-652 signed by my IO with the "congratulations! you are recommended for approval" box checked this time. I have never heard of anyone getting the N-652 form in the mail! So now the wait continues...I may try an infopass this friday to see if they can give me an oath letter...worth a try right?

Finally got an update that my interview has been scheduled. I hope my interview is not between Dec 29th and Jan 1st as I was planning on being out of town.
Anyways, I got the yellow letter on Nov 3rd and finally got the 'interview scheduled' update today. Now its time to brush up on the test questions!

I filed an N-400 on 9/9 and completed my biometrics on 10/4. I've been stuck in the "inline for interview" status since 10/7.Anyone else in Houston awaiting an interview letter? I am getting tired of checking for text messages and/or mail every day. I was hoping to have my intervuew scheduled by now.

I had a real easy and short interview. The AO appologized for the Missouri service center not initiating the name check and said that he has to wait until the results of the name check come back before he can approve the petition.
What is your timeline? Have you got your EAD and travel document yet? Also are you keeping track of your "touches". It would be interesting to compare that information as very few people are getting the CRIS message that we got.

Great...I guess theres nothing to do but wait (sigh). Atleast they sent me an EAD to work and build a life until they find the time to look at my file again.

Well, add me to the list of people stuck in name check. Our AOS interview was very easy and short but we were told that the name check was not initiated yet so we cannot be approved until the name check results come back. Then, 12 days after our interview, we get the following email from CRIS:

My wife and I had a very pleasant AOS interview on 10/30/2006 and were told that we were approved pending my name check. The name check was not initiated by MSC so the officer said he was going to initiate it that day and told us to wait 60 days before making any further status inquiries. Then I got the following status update email from CRIS:
