Thank you for the reply. She had green card when the time of receiving WIC.

I'm applying for green card based on marriage to US citizen. I just have quick question on I-485 Part 3. Question #2 about public assistance. Here is the question.

Have you received public assistance in the United States from any source, including the U.S. Government or any State, county, city, or municipality, or are you likely to receive public assistance in the future?

My wife received Texas WIC benefit last year when she was pregnant. We used it for only one month. The benefit was not helpful so we just quit. According to USCIS, WIC is not considered Public Charge. However, what should I answer on the question since public assistance looks broader concept than public charge. Should I answer Yes and send WIC documents as proof? Or can I answer No since it was related to my wife and child? 

I'm so confused.
