I finally scheduled my consulate interview and the earliest interview date is August 13! I was approved by the NVC on February and did not get to file until recently due to passport troubles. Do I need to extend the USCIS approval? And can I get the interview changed to an earlier date instead of 2 whole months?

I won't make enough for the poverty guideline with my regular job, but I flipped a house and closed on it this year and now I am onto my second house plus I still have my regular job. Can I show them the profit, or will it not help me with the poverty guideline? My last resort is to use a family member for a joint sponsor, but I would rather do this on my own. I am under the poverty limit by $9,000 and just need that extra bump. Does anyone know if what I can do in this situation?

There is so much information here! I am looking for more information on the DS-160 and don't know where to go for that (how to fill it out, what to do before and after). Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Recently I received my NOA1 with an "Unkown" listed under the subject "Country of Birth". I called the number they had listed and they told me that they could only put in a request to change the topographical error. I went through with it and I then received an e-mail stating that:
The status of this service request is:
On 07/17/2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you would like to adjust the Change of Birth location for the beneficiary. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.
We hope this information is helpful to you.Has anybody gone through this? And what is this security check? How long does these usually take? What actions will I be able to take? If anybody can help me with this I would feel rest assured.

Hi,
This form has been out for a couple of month's now. You can see the expiration date at the top of the first page. I know this because I was about to send in my I-129F form and then they came out with that form. I then filled it out and I still sent in my G-325A form because of the expiration date at the top. If I were you I would still send it in if it has not expired yet.

I just received my NoA today and for my beneficiary it states that the country of birth is unknown. I wrote on the I-129F form and the G-325A form that she was from Mexico. Should I call and fix that, or is this something that they do or is common. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So, I am filling the i-129f form on my Mac and don't know if this makes a difference, but I am at the section "Your Citizenship Information" and I obtained my citizenship here in the United States by going through the court process. I was brought here by my parents, then they went through the process to obtain my green card. I had that for years and then, I went ahead and got my Citizenship through court. My question is, I answered I obtained my citizenship through Naturalization (40.b). The next question states:
41. Have you obtained a Certificate of Naturalization or a Certificate of Citizenship in your own name?
I answered "Yes". After this the question states:
If you answered "Yes" to Item Number 41., complete Item Numbers 42.a. - 42.c.
When I try to enter my information on 42.a-42.c. It won't let me enter any information. I don't know why either. I have looked through VisaJourney for anyone with this problem, but I did not have any luck. I also did not enter an A- number at the beginning of the form, and I did not enter that I was born in the United States on the form. I understand that this form will "turn off" the questions so that you can not enter information if it does not apply to you, and this is why I am concerned. I can also print it out and write it in, but I feel like that there is a reason why this is not letting me enter information in this section. Any help?
