    CEAC STATUS READY FROM AP

    I had applied for J1 visa and finished my interview on 19th April 2017 at Chennai, India.

    The VO gave me blue form 221g with ' administrative processing' ticked.No documents asked

    At first I was taken back by this and after going through the material on the internet, I lost all hopes.

    My fellowship was due to begin by May and considering the average wait times I had dropped all my dreams.

    I checked my CAEC status on 20th morning at 9.00AM and it was THE dreaded  ' ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING'. update status was 19/4/2017

    However when i checked again at 3.00PM the status was 'READY' update status was 20/4/17.

    I don't know what to make of this.Is this good or a routine before it would slip into the DREADED 'AP' and months n months of nothing happening.

    As I had gone through previous threads ,I was preparing to see a prolonged period of 'AP'

    This however is a surprise and frankly I am a bit skeptical of this.

    If anyone knows about this I would appreciate the info
