  1. Hi everyone

I filed for joint ROC at VSC in November 2016 with my USC wife and submitted plenty of good faith marriage evidence.I already received my NOA1 and went in for my biometrica appointment.

In December 2016 the company were I work at got acquired by an out of state company and wanted to shut down and move to the state next to us. They offered me a position with them and offered to keep my seniority and benefits plus a $3 raise but I declined because I had hopes I will find a job in same state even if it pays a bit less. The thing is I kept looking for 2 months and I didnt find any job, I applied for some and didnt even hear back. I am the major breadwinner in the house and I carry the insurances. At that point I had no other choice than taking the job and relocating since its a 3 hours ride one way. This way I can still pay bills and have insurance and be able to support myself and my wife although she works part-time due to medical reasons and having kids. I plan on going back to my house every Friday Saturday and Sunday or my wife will come up to my new place to spend the weekend together, meanwhile I will keep looking for a job down there.

I found a place in the same state as we are now but up north closer to the job (its 30 mns ride vs 3 hours ride). I changed my address on USCIS website and I asked the HR department for a letter stating that I was working for 17 month at the old company and it got acquired on Demeber 2016 and I was offered a job with keeping benefits and vacation time if I relocate. I was thinking to mail a copy of this letter to USCIS after the online address change so they know why I changed my address. I dont know if this is a good idea?

Will all this affect my ROC or is it grounds to get denied?

I need your comments and thoughts please.

    Thank you.

  2. I came to the US on a CR-1 Visa and now I am in process of removing conditions. My wife and I has been living together since first day I came here, couple of months ago the company where I work at since a year and half got acquired by another company out of state. They laid people off and wanted to keep others, they offered me a job with them but out of state (3 hours away one way commute from where I live), they will keep my seniority and benefits, they will also give me a raise and will pay my moving expenses (I am a supervisor and they need my experience because they acquired the contracts that are in the works already). I applied for jobs around where I live but had no luck at all, add to that the pay is way less than what I used to make and what they new people offered me. Today I signed with them on taking the job because I have no other option or I will be unemployed, and with just my wife's income we can't support ourselves completely (she has 2 kids). I will be eligible to file for N400 under the 3 years rule in October 2017. I will rent small apartment near the job because it's almost 3 hours commute one way from our martial home. Meanwhile I will keep looking for jobs near us so I can move back to live together. I am not going to change my address on anything because I am still going to our home every weekend or she might come to my new place. Will I be able to file for N400 in October with such situation?
