  1. Hello,

I am an American woman married to a Jamaican man.  His Green Card interview (I'm guessing that's what its called) is scheduled for May.  In the letter it says you must bring documentation supporting your relationship such as bank statements, insurance papers etc.  We don't have any of that.  He doesn't have a social security number or a work permit yet, so how can his name be on any of my bills?  He moved in with me, so I am 100% supporting the household because legally he can not work.  Is this an acceptable excuse?  What other proof do they need? We could open up a bank account together, is that enough?  Is anyone going through the same thing or have any suggestions?

    Thank you.
