Hi Everyone,
 
Just want to update my case. My visa is approved.
 
My interview is held at US embassy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
 
Recap
7.00 am arrive at embassy gate and queue. I was number 5 in line.
7.30 am start security clearance. Has to leave my ID and electronic device with the security. Shown them my appointment letter.
7.45 am proceed to lobby and an officer gave me a list of documents needed. She asked me to arrange the documents as per list. I was given a queue no 2.
8.00 am my turn to present documents. proceed to counter and provide the documents the officer asked. She asked my petitioner's birth certificate and marriage certificate. I didn't bring this. Was worried if this will delay my visa. after she checked all my docs..she asked me to seat.
8.15 am my turn to interview. I was the first to be called to interview. The officer asked me the following questions :
 Where my family staying now? Ans : they live in DC  Have I been to other country more than 1 year ? Ans : Only 2 countries.  Do you have any family photo? Ans : gave them 4 photos. Officer said I really look my petitioner and I made her job easy. hehe
 
8.30 am she said my application is approved and asked me for my passport. She cancelled my travel visa in my old passport and keep the valid passport with her. My passport with visa will be couried by embassy next week.
 
Tips 
1. Bring your petitioner recent W2 tax return
2. Bring your petitioner's birth certificate
3. Bring your petitioner's marriage or divorce certificate
4. Bring several family photos
 
The officer wants to verify you're blood related to petitioner and petitioner have sufficient income to support you when you go to US.

I waited almost 8 years to get this visa. Seeing my friends made progress in their life while my life is on hold. I went through a lot of emotional stress and life pressure but at the end it will be worth it. I was beaming with pride and joy when I entered the embassy and teared a little.
 
I've made this far. 
 
So can you! never give up. not everybody understand our journey but that's okay.. because it's not made for them . Be strong! Good luck!

Congratulations Mehhr. Plz don"t forget to share your interview experience as well. My PD is March 24. I am hoping to get IL next month. Fingers crossed!

Only moved by seven days, but fingers crossed that in October we will be seeing some movement as the new financial year commence with a new quota of visas.

Visa bulletin is out and really Disappointing

Hi,
My PD is 3 Nov 2010, and visa bulletin stopped at 1 Nov 2010. 
Can anyone tell me what happened? how long I have to wait? 
 
I can't find any information why visa bulletin didn't move in F2B category. I'm really confused.

My attorney send me a welcome letter on June 16th 2017 ,P.D July 1st 2011 India and need to pay visa , AOS fees ,but my category has been changed to F1

No one knows who in which situtation is waiting for interview. i know that everyone is waiting and there is another people that waiting for their turn. Last two months , visa bulletin moving less than 1 month. This is forum page and everyone sharing their thoughts. like me.
 

Still watching and waiting

Today I got letter by mail as well. but my story going to be different of you after it as i am living in the US and i am trying to do AOS. Hope you guys get your letters soon

Thanks for your replay. But how do you try to CEAC when you do not have "Invoice ID"!?? As I know, we get Invoice ID by welcome letter so before that we can not do any step further!

Hey, my sister's and I are all F1 and yes, same Petitioner. I posted my report of my Interview in the F1 thread. All in all, the worst part was the waiting, the interview was easy.
 
Okay, went and copied my review,  here you go.....
 
 
So, i am back with the details of how my journey went today.
 
I had a 8:00 appointment and arrived at 7:30, there are two lines, to my fellow Jamaicans please ask the police officer which line you should join, passport, photo and appointment letter are then asked for to be checked and then you proceed to go through Security. FYI, there are a host of things you cannot take into the Embassy (including makeup, flash drives, cellphones etc.), so don't bring a lot of stuff when you go there.
 
I then got a number and a form to fill out for DHL registration, but I had already done that online so I proceeded inside to the area for Immigrant Visa Applicants. Let me just tell you I was nervous as he'll! It seemed like I was there waiting and waiting forever! lol. Anyway, my number was called and I went to the window and was asked to hand in certain documents and my finger prints were scanned. The lady then told me to have a seat and listen for my name to be called. While waiting I was paying attention to what was going on, FYI, it doesn't help your case to keep saying 'i don't know' to the Consular Officer! That's all I heard coming from this one man, he didn't even know his Mother's date of birth! lol, the CO was not impressed at all!
 
Anyway, by 10:00am my name was called and I went to the window for my Interview (still nervous I might add). The CO was a Chinese male and he was basically straight forward, he gave no eye contact, not even a smile, he asked me to swear to tell the whole truth thing and took my fingerprints again. The questions I got where.....
 
1.   Who is the Petitioner?
2.   What is she to you?
3.   Where does she live?
4.   How long has she lived in the U.S.?
5.   What does she do? 
6.   Have I ever been charged with a crime?
7.   He also tried to trick me with a question, but it was a good thing I was actually listening to him
 
No request for updated W2's or I-864, all in all the worst part of the experience was the waiting, the interview was a breeze and over before I knew it. He then said everything looked okay, that my visa was approved and I could expect to have it back within a week. What I was curious about though was that the lady who I submitted my documents to told me my medical hadn't arrived as yet, but at no time did  the CO indicate that to me, so I'll wait and see if I do get my passport back within the week time frame that was given. My status is at Administrative Processing now.
 
No more watching for the Visa Bulletin to see when i will be current or waiting for correspondence from NVC! God is good and I am happy, happy, happy!

It means, that your case is already open. If you haven't received your WL, you'll get it very soon. If you have your case Invoice number, you can log into CEAC and start your process. Good luck.
