  1. We all waited our turn in this process called legal immigration. If the floods gates are opened (no quotas) the next wave of illegal immigrants will demand the same process. What happens to all whom have processed papers the legal route and are still waiting the 10 year+ wait?

    When given something that you obtained easily there is no value or respect, but when made to work hard for this same token it is appreciated..

    Just remember "without rules there is chaos" go to the end of the line!

  2. I understand this is somewhat a late post but I hope this answers some of your questions.

    You can obtain a US passport for your daughter. The US Embassy will require the following information.

    (1) An official record of the childs foreign birth;

    (2) Evidence of the parent(s) U.S. citizenship (e.g., a certified birth certificate, current U.S.

    Passport, or Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship);

    (3) Evidence of the parents marriage, if applicable; and

    (4) Affidavits of parent(s) residence and physical presence in the United States.

    They also asked us for ultrasound and OB/GYN records, my passport to verify dates that I was in the country (baby was conceived by me). A US Passport photo taken of our 2 week old daughter and foot print taken at USE.

    After this was completed we were issued (within 2 weeks) a US Passport for my daughter and a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. We then had to register with Philippines Bureau of Immigration, and paid a fine when my daughter departed the Philippines as USC. Documentation will state that you need to register your child with Philippine BI.

  3. So what happen to legal immigration? It's where we all stand in line the old fashion way, we where taught when we were in school, those that try to cut the line are sent to the rear of the line.

    I'm not sure how others at VJ feel, but we WAITED. Say no to any bill that allows AMMNESTY. I know there are others; with pending cases for family members waiting for visa's to be issued... But nope we are told to wait while others who have broken the law are rewarded with AMMNESTY. --

  4. At our interview (which was short and sweet) my wife and son I-94 were taken. We where not told that we passed the interview, but was told once our name check returned things would move at a faster pace.

    I think a lengthy interview would mean more doubt on your case, thus most AO's reviews your case before you enter their offices and know what questions they are going to ask.

    Also photos were just given a breeze look over.

  5. donnaal,

    I have posted on this forum and our name was added to the list of waiting for FBI name check. If you scroll up and check the list you will see my information was added by lal b. Did i request it be added? NOPE was it added? yes. So it's little dips like you who make statements like that.. I just wanted you to know that after 2 months and 20 days I've received notice that i'm done with a 10 year PRC.

    We have also had about 7 Infopass within that 2 months and 20 days requesting updates.

  6. The I-94 was removed and stapled to papers in our case. I don't want to answer my own post, only wanted know if others' have had this happen.

    You can tell when your interview is going good or not. The removal of the I-94 happen after the hold your right hand and tell the whole truth thing, and asking us small questions.

    What I got from that we are moving forward since your AOS case (4 inches thick) is solid pending namecheck and you passed this part of AOS.

    This could also be a California DO thing also.
