Don't worry, the test is very simple, the test itself only lasted for about 1 minutes.

I only remember that one question is what is religion freedom and another one is when the constitution was written, what state boarders Canada.

The officer had some kind of light accent, but the worse is that the officer had bad pollen allergy, so her voice wasn't very clear; the worst is that I had pollen allergy too. So we talked about how to relieve our symptom.

Thank you! the test went first or n400 went first?

Update the progress in my case.

I did my interview on 05/16 in San Francisco FO. It totally took about 40 minutes. Test was very easy, but the officer went through my case and my recent international travels carefully, so it took a long time.

After that, I was told my green card category code has a typo, so the officer said they would check it and send my a written decision.

Today, my case status got updated to be "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review." on 05/17 and "oath ceremony will be scheduled" in egov.uscis.gov.

But on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov, it shows "Oath Ceremony Scheduled. USCIS has scheduled your oath ceremony and will mail you the appointment notice." and the last update is on 05/18/2017.

    Congratulation!

No news. I tried many ways - got back standard answer.

I'm going to just wait for processing date of FO within my PD date

for the processing date if just based on the uscis website posted is not accurate I think. For example like san francisco FO it is june 6 now and has been stayed there for a couple of month. did not change at all. Actually uscis has handle the cases with PD on September 2016 already. We are the august filer. Don't know how and when can solve this? Please let me know when your case is updated later and I will tell you also for our case. Thank you and good luck!

From other post i have see the PD is retained while scheduling interview, ( eg, if BG cleared today, it will be scheduled immediately ) .

he got a letter from uscis and it said uscis can not remove an application from its current location in the processing queue and place it ahead of other application already received. I really don't know what that mean. his window has past already. When is his turn? You guys are in the same boat. hopeless.

it depends, i dont think anyone has any answer. Did you reached L2 officer on BG check status

    Hi txaim,

I know that you are stuck in background check also. my husband talked to L2 officer before but get different answers. one said they received the result from FBI. However today got a letter from uscis it doesn't say very clear on whether the background check is clear or not. but say this case has been delay by background check. They will reach out other service for the reason. this case has to be in line from beginning for interview.  very confused.

I went to my 2nd infopass today and got no any helpful information, but just being asked to wait.

Right after I left the building, I got messages saying that

On April 10, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number IOExxxxxxxx. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

That is a good news, but the more funny thing is the local infopass window doesn't know my case has been updated yesterday.

Congratulations! But I did not get anything yet even though we are same PD and same field office. so sad.

My BC has been cleared since Nov. too, confirmed by L2 officers multiple times. Even with the lagging processing time from the web, it has already passed my PD date when I do the days calculation. I remember that by the end of January, USCIS announced that they would resume the Elis system. So I assumed that they have fixed the problem, and the process would be accelerated. Well well well, by far, we (typically means IOE filers' PD around or after mid Aug) as the last group of the last year's Elis systems filers are still being delayed. Other big offices like NYC and Chicago, they have already processed people of Aug 20 or later, but we are still waiting to hear something. So there is no excuse for overloaded working loads or anything. 230 days has passed, my neighbor's baby was born last Sept. and he hits 26 in already, man.

    yeah, we are not lucky

That's why I feel that infopass is a little bit more helpful than calling: the local FO can tell you the current processing time, instead of the processing time as of 2 months ago.

The infopass lady suggested me going to infopass in mid of April, if no interview notice is received before that. I'll go on 04/11.

ok I would go to infopass in middle of April also if i did not get a interview letter. I went to infopass twice. the staff served me in local FO were a guy or Asian lady respectively. both them were not nice and did not provide useful information to me.

  9. @Deanw Have you got interview information update by text or email. I am the one with same PD and same field office with you. I am still waiting for the interview. my online status is still biometrics appointment was scheduled . I went for infopass twice and did not get useful information. My husband's PD is one week earlier than me. His situation is even worse. officer of uscis told him that he was not clear with background check. both us need international travel as soon as possible to take care of sick family. I am in depression.
