Congratulations! We just received my wife’s I-130 approval! Would you be willing to give me some tips on the next step in the process?

We always get auto replies. I wish someone would actually type the email and give us an actual update. It’s frustrating that they work this way. Where is your case at? My is in The Potomac office.
We actually just got my wife’s I-130 approval today so I’m trying to get all the help I can on the next steps, we submitted the I-130 on 02/23/20, so that was way quicker than we expected!

Congrats! We just got my wife’s I-130 approval today, filed on Feb 23! I’m looking to do the waiver on my own as lawyers charge an arm and a leg for this process, would you be willing to give me some guidance and or tips on the process?

I submitted my husband’s in April 2019 and I emailed USCIS and they responded it’s in line for review. Don’t know what that really means 😕
How’s your case going?

Hi Beronica,
Curious as to how your case is going, also did you work with a lawyer or did you do everything yourself? If so would you be willing to provide my wife and I with some guidance as I just started the process for her, I submitted the I-130 form. I hope you can help, look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

I’m hoping that someone can provide my family with some much needed guidance. I recently became a U.S. Citizen and now am wanting to begin the process for my wife to become a permanent resident. She came in to the US without inspection so we know that she would be be able to adjust but rather apply for a waiver of admissibility. Also, we understand that first we need to submit form I-130. My question is, on question 62a of form I-130 it says “ The beneficiary will not apply for an adjustment of status in the United States, it he or she will apply for an immigrant visa abroad in a U.S . embassy or U.S. consulate in” is This the correct path for her? If so can we select any embassy in México, or are we limited to the one in Juarez.

Correct
Presumably she would have a ban and need a I 601a, any other issues?
So we should select question 62a and indicate the Juarez embassy is what you’re saying? And yes I-601a would follow. Thank you for your prompt reply

I’m hoping someone can provide some needed guidance. I recently became a US citizen and I am now wanting to start the process for my wife to hopefully become a permanent resident. She entered the country without inspection so I understand that the first part of the process is to submit form I-130, from looking at the form, on question 62a it says: The beneficiary will not apply for adjustment of status in the United States, but he or she will apply for an immigrant visa abroad at the US embassy or US consulate in:, from my understanding, this is the option that we need to select as she is not eligible to adjust in the US, is this correct? And if so can one only choose the Juarez embassy. I understand that this forum is for adjustments but I figured that most of you have already been through our current situation. We appreciate any advice that anyone can give us. Thank you.

I am a legal resident and my wife is a DACA recipient, but essentially here illegally. I recently fired our lawyer as we weren't satisfied with the service that he was providing. I want to do as much research as possible before hiring a new attorney. I would like to know what forms need the be submitted and in what order. I understand that we need to first submit a I-130 and a I-601 and pretty sure there are others. Also, I'm leaning towards hiring a new attorney, but am curious as to whether one can complete these forms with the right guidance. Any information, and or tips or advice is helpful. Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hello,
Congratulations on your husband's recent approval. My wife and I just fired our scumbag attorney who did nothing for us and I am now trying to do as much research as possible before we hire a new attorney. Would you be able to give me a quick summary of the forms that you submitted and in what order they were submitted for your husband's case. I understand that we need to submit a i-601, a i-130 and a few others. my wife has the DACA status but essentially she's here illegally and entered without inspection.I am a resident but will be applying to become a citizen soon. From your experience, does one have to hire an attorney or do you think one can fill out the necessary form to send to immigration, any information that you can provide is helpful. Thank you.
