  1. June 3rd filer, just checked my mail box and found the approval letter. USCIS website is still blank with no activity.  Long wait of 15 months came to an end finally. Those who are still waiting just be patient. Good luck to all.

When should I apply for citizenship, I have not received the physical card, just the approval letter. Please someone guide on this matter please.

Leftover VSC filer here (Filed June 1, NOA1 June 6, Biometric July 6). My wife went to the immigration office to get a stamp for impending travel today and was told she got approved on Friday! They still gave her the stamp since the travel is coming up in two weeks. But so relieved this nightmare of a process is finally ending.

Congrats, I am a june 3rd filer, eagerly waiting, nothing in the mail or on USCIS website.

  3. Went to USCIS Delaware office to get I551..worst experience ever, officer smelled of smoke, I had a hard time holding my breath, then she screamed at me that why did I come to Delaware, I replied..'mam there is no appointment in my state, this was the closest I could find and my GC is expiring tomorrow', she was like thats no excuse, she refused to see my application, then I had to beg her and she agreed eventually, and in her anger she gave me only 6 months stamp, and told me to go back to Baltimore office asap to make that extension to one year. I am hoping to get my case settled in next 6 months.

Is there any filer from June first week 2016 who is still waiting, or am I the only one ?

I posted here about two weeks ago about how  hadn't heard anything back yet regarding my husband's (June 13) ROC packet. Well here we are two weeks later and we STILL haven't heard anything. Anybody else here in the same situation? I know that people who submitted  their packets in July are now being approved so I don't know what the holdup is or if I should be concerned. :(

You are not alone..my NOA arrived 6/8/17, GC expiring in less than three weeks, cant find the infopass appointment for my desired dates. Kinda stuck on..so chill, there are many like us.

No worries, ask whatever you need to - is why we are all here!

I went online on the morning of June 3rd and found an appointment at the DC office on the morning of the 5th June - I happen to be in the DC area visiting friends so it all worked out ok. The office was very quiet, and I was seen pretty much straight away.  I guess it was a cancellation as it was a lone appointment on its own - so I lucked out.  So I would keep checking regularly.

I got the stamp, because I was going to be traveling when my GC extension expired, in Russia, so I didn't want to get stranded!!

I just had a quick look for you and there are quite a few appointments available in Dover, DE which I think is probably a bit closer than Pittsburg, on August 18, if that helps.

Nothing else has happened with my case, but I guess it is down the pile in the June 22 ish dates, so I would guess another few weeks at least.

I have my I551 stamp in my passport so I'm not really worried - I'm currently dealing with a family emergency in the UK at the moment, and will return to the USA early September.  I know I am in status, I have the proof, so I'm not in a panic, or in any rush, and I don't plan to file a N400 until end of the year. I'm in an ok position - but I know that isn't the case for all of you - just my situation.

Let us know how you get on!

Hey thanks for the info..I hope your family is fine back home..I know Aug 18 is free, but that week is heavy at work, I cant really take off..I ll keep looking and keep you guys posted. My NOA was 6/8/17, and GC extension expires Aug 22.

Yes as mentioned make an infopass appointment and get the stamp. They won't have any issue doing this, but your green card will be (should be, not always for some reason) taken away from you.

The stamp is a valid I551 - the same as a green card - also an I551 - so you can travel and work without any drama.

If anyone gives you drama and questions it's validity, point them to USCIS website to educate themselves, but PoE officers know what the stamp is and won't give you any flack.

Hey Teknodude, when did u get your infopass done ? Before or after the end date of your extension ? Also, any activity from USCIS ? Whats the latest have they known to keep the people waiting ? So many questions, thanks in advance

I notice you list Frederick as where you live - actually I got my infopass appointment at Washington DC - the office is right off the beltway on the VA side in Fairfax, so easy to get to. Also consider Baltimore and Philly. Look after midnight as that is when they release appointments for 14 days later and they get snapped up quick. But also keep checking every day - as I bagged an appointment 48 hours later when I went online and spotted a slot was available.

Note the DC office in Fairfax has big notices up saying "we don't accept walk-in's" but when I was there, people were definitely "walking in" as the bossy receptionist was making people without appointments stand along a wall and feel guilty about not having appointments - but then let them in - after people with appointments had been let through - so I guess it depends how brave you are feeling.

Once in the door, the DC staff were super nice and as helpful as they could be.  Good luck!

Hey thanks again..there is info pass appointment in pittsburg for AUG 7, I am surprised to see that opening because they always say on website to have dates for 14 days later, but my next week is horribly busy, so I am on website like a hawk looking for either weekend or Aug 20 or Aug 21 (hopefully I can get it before Aug 22)

Schedule an Infopass appointment (you can generally do this 30 days before your extension expires) and get an I-155 stamp that will extend it another year. You'll be able to work and travel internationally without worries.

Hi, want to know, can I do this after extension expires..just curious. Hands full of work, wont be able to do it until the next month.

send my RFE on June 26 to  Vermont center and still wasn't approved  so submitted inquiry on august 1 and got this response today.

Your Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) is currently under officer review.  You should receive a decision or notice of other action within the next 60 days.

Please note that the Receipt Notice of Action (Form I-797) you received for your Form I-751 guarantees that your conditional permanent resident status is extended for 12 months beyond the expiration date shown on your Conditional Permanent Resident Card. You may use this document as proof of pendency for employment and travel purposes.

If your 12-month extension expires while your case is still pending, you must schedule an appointment with your local field or district office as indicated below to receive a stamp in your passport to extend your authorization of work and travel for another year.  If you would like to schedule an appointment with your local office, please visit our web site at www.uscis.gov.  You must use the InfoPass Appointment Scheduler prior to visiting your local office.  You will need to bring this letter, a copy or the original receipt notice and your valid passport with you

You are not alone. Got the same response. Mine was send on June 8, 2016

Regarding your case not being found in the USCIS online system, our Biometrics appointment letter had two case numbers listed, both in the "Application/Petition/Request Number" box. Have you tried both in the USCIS system? One of our numbers gave the same response you received but the second number did indeed access our case.

Unfortunately I had thrown out my biometric appointment letter long ago..I guess I suck..how to get the passport stamp ? Where to go, who to call..what the hell :(

  12. I filed in May last year and got the receipt dated for June 3, 2016, Conditional green card expired on Aug 22, 2016. Today I received letter from my employer that my current status is expiring on June 3. I always thought that one year extension was from the date of expiry of conditional green card. I am stressed out, went to USCIS website, still says your case cannot be found, filed a processing delay report, they said its still in the processing times..what should I do ?? Any suggestions ??

Why do you say that about the Vermont office? It depends on where you are located but even then they could have moved you to another office. They typically notify you if they move your case to another office.

my gf is June and she has been waiting. She called early January and they gave her a "broad stroke" timetable like 6-8 months"

I said so because Vermont processing times on the website is showing 'processing applications from Feb 2016' :(

  14. Hi Guys, I came across this forum and thought would be a good place to share my problem right now. I filed for i751 last may and received extension notice dated Jun 6, 2016, did my fingerprinting/biometrics July17, 2016, and waiting since then, no response, no mail, no activity, no case status online or anything, its been 9 months now and I am worried whats the next step. I have moved out to different addresses but updated them right away on the USCIS website.

Please give some suggestions, thank you.
