Hello I have my AOS coming up Oct 26. My I-693 sent in 12/2016 was dated 11/14/2016. At that time the civil surgeon used the old form having NO gonorrhea test but she did the test and attached the negative-result report at the end. Now I found out about the new form and the USCIS website said that starting April 2017 they won't accept any old form. So far, I have not received any RFE, I spoke with my lawyer briefly (because we will have a formal meeting with his office next week to prep before the interview) and was told it'd be OK. Reading so many stories people having issue with this tiny detail on the gonorrhea test and the I-693, both of us are becoming more nervous. I am thinking of redoing the whole thing just to be sure (meaning it will cost us a lot but if that's the price for peace of mind and no complication at the interview, we just have to do it since we're already nervous and stressed out enough ) Anyone else having similar situation or advice? Thanks LTrucker. Did you get the letter in your house's mailbox? Mine is the letter they sent to my lawyer, I didn't even have one sent to my house (!) I think that's what I'll bring to the interview. Well, at least we get the interview date; there are a lot of other people still waiting. Praying for you, me, and all other fellows in the same situation

I am also a Dec filer (Priority date Dec 19) and I got a notice from my lawyer last week Sept 22nd that my interview is set for Oct 26th; the lawyer scans me the actual letter from USCIS with the list of required documents to bring to the interview. This is Orlando, FL.

I did not raise any SR upon advice from my lawyer as the Florida offices was quite back-up with the hurricane. The weird thing is that my online account with USCIS is not updated at all: it still says "As of May 30, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxx for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice." 

Is this normal? I and my spouse are both excited but nervous about the interview; this is about 10 months since our priority date in Dec 2016 to get the interview notice.  

Hello, thanks for all the response. Yes, we actually have several other evidences: car & health insurance, house rental lease, car title and loan, utilities bill (cable, etc.), credit cards, museum and grocery store membership. I just want something else to add to the list. We are looking into buying life insurance but so far several rates are so high since my spouse has high blood pressure. I just thought the magazine subscription would be something to add and indeed we read these magazines quite often. If anyone has any experiences with the magazine subscription, please share your trick on how to get both names on there. 

Also, I read about having power of attorney designating each spouse to the other. Is this when you go to an attorney to do the will and do this too? How do we go around having this done. Any guidance is truly appreciated...

Hello and please help us with one quick question. I (H1B visa holder) married to a USC. We got married din 11/2016 sent in everything on 12/19/2016 for AOS and still waiting to hear back from USCIS now (no EAD or AP yet, no RFE either, I did biometric already and status is "case is ready to be scheduled for interview"). We are gathering evidence now and I've tried magazine subscriptions: but it only allow 1 name on the subscription. I purchase 2 for us already but it can only show my name only, sent to our house's address. All the infos I've read recommended subscription in both names: how do you go around get that done in BOTH names? Is there a specific magazine that will allow us to do so. I called the magazine we subscribe to (Men's Health and Better Homes& garden) to ask but they said they could only put 1 name-so frustrated.

Please help with any experience or wisdom. Thanks in advance....
