    City of birth error inquiry

    in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

    Hi all,

     

    I am currently in the middle of a K-1 visa process. We filed my fiance's city of birth as Ashiya city. Today, we found out that she was in fact born in Kobe Japan, however, the paperwork was turned into Ashiya city. The paperwork shows the hospital listed in Kobe. Our Petition was already just approved by the USCIS. It's next step is to be sent to the NVC. 

    What is the best way to go about correcting this?

    Summary:

    Birth city says Ashiya. It should say Kobe. How can I change this so late in the game? What is the best way to do it? We do not want to be failed at the final step because of it.
