Case starts with YSC:
My wife received a notice in May saying that her fingerprints would be used from her adjustment of status.
However, we just received a notice today with a biometrics appointment for her daughter (who is a dependent from her application) in December. I'm guessing that they may not be able to use her biometrics information from the adjustment of status because she's a growing child? Just thought that was odd that my wife's biometrics appointment was waived, but her daughter still received an appointment.

My wife filed her I751 and included my stepdaughter as a dependent on it. We’ve received their I-797 NOA saying that their cases were received. However, on my stepdaughter’s letter, it mentions, “This notice confirms that you are included as a dependent on the Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, filed by the above-named principal alien on the date indicated above.”
Though, I don’t see my wife’s name above. My stepdaughter is in both the “Petitioner” and “Beneficiary” boxes. Should my wife be in the “Petitioner” box, since the letter references “above-named principal alien?” I tried calling the number listed on the letter to ask, but just got circled around recordings for about ten minutes, trying to find a person to talk to.

Congratulations, and thank you for all of that information, too! I know there's a few people on here who recently received their NOA2 or will shortly, who have Colombian fiancés, so it's nice reading all of this updated information on the next steps for us. Really appreciate it, and congratulations again!

Both us Colombia filers got approved on the same day
I'm also going to Colombia this weekend to see my fiance!
Friday night flying out of Miami. Where abouts in Colombia do you go? My fiance lives right there in Bogota. City of 9 million people and terrible traffic.
Congratulations on your approval and may you have a safe and enjoyable trip and celebration in Colombia!
She lives in Bogota as well.
I'm flying out of Atlanta on Saturday. And you're right about the traffic--that's one of the things that she says she won't miss, haha. I know it takes her forever to get places, and the whole time we're travelling around the city, I just keep thinking that there's no way I could handle that traffic while driving, haha.
Congratulations to you as well! And, the same to you--have a safe and fun trip while celebrating.

Approved!!!
Was talking to my fiancee on the phone and we hung up to eat dinner. I decided to check before cooking, and saw that we were approved. I called her back right away and we were both so happy. We already had a visit planned--I'm going to see her and her daughter for a week starting this Saturday--so, this was great start to our upcoming time together.
Good luck to all of those still waiting, and congratulations to everyone who got updates. Though I haven't posted much, I've enjoyed reading everyone's stories and their posts when they get approved. Reading the excitement of others since I have found this site had made the waiting a little better, knowing that that was the feeling that I had been waiting for, too.
Now that this part of waiting is over, I'm looking forward to spending a week with the ones that I love, then moving on to the next step of the process.

Another Colombia filer! Hi!
My receive date is January 5th and I'm still waiting
Hello, there. Hopefully we'll both get good news soon.
I'm excited that they're starting to touch our date and hoping that we receive news soon, but at the same time feel for those with earlier dates that still haven't heard anything. Especially when reading the December thread (or even some still left from November). It really does seem like a random process at times.

Starting to do double digits with our date, and a member with the same date saying they got approved yesterday--it's definitely starting to get exciting for us. Understand that there's still pretty many not touched from before our date, but I'm hoping we receive some good news tonight or next week. It would certainly be a nice start to our upcoming week together.

Received the NOA1 on January 19, so hoping the NOA2 arrives soon. It looks like some of January is starting to get approved, so that's encouraging. I'm going to visit my fiancée and her daughter at the end of the month, so we're both hoping for some good news before then. I want to be there for her interview, so we're hoping this is the last visit prior to her interview.

Have been checking everyday and my wife’s status was finally updated today saying that her new card is being produced. Good timing, too, as we were going to try calling tomorrow, given that the extension letter expires in a month. It was the Potomac office. There hadn’t been any updates on the case since December when my step-daughter had her biometrics appointment. We’re excited and relieved to see that the new cards are being produced with how the extension letter expiration was approaching. Good luck to everyone else—hopefully things will start moving along for Potomac now. 🙂
