Hi Eoeop88 our interview is scheduled 4-17 our lawyer said they do have to be translated and they are. Don't risk it. It is better to be over prepared. Good luck.

@ErickGutiHi, we are just nearing the end of the journey. My partner has his appointment in April. It has been a long process as I'm sure you are aware of. We have a lawyer and he is our second one, I don't think I could have done it myself and didn't want to try as if we would have gone to Juarez and something was not done right he would have gotten stuck there, not worth the risk for a couple grand the lawyer cost. I can tell you this. we filed the I-130 first and when it was approved the lawyer contacted the nvc and had a hold put on the process then we submitted the 601a the hard thing about that is proving extreme hardship which we successfully did. Then along with the I-130 submitted them both and then we got our interview date. It has been a very long and stressful process. There is a lot of great information on here and immgrate2us and you tube. Also go to U.S Embassy and consulates in Mexico there is complete info on there. Remember you will need 601a to get assurance that your wife will not have problems being allowed back into the U.S. 601 is filed if she where already in Mexico trying to come here. When we went into our lawyer after we received our appointment date he had our file on the desk that he submitted and I am not exaggerating it was 10-12 inches thick with all the information we submitted and it was all neath compiled with tabs for easy referencing. Good luck. I say find a good lawyer but do your own due diligence and keep them on their toes. Remember it's called practicing law they make mistake too.??

Thank you very much.

Thanks he is coming in on a 601 a. We are so nervous. Did you find being a same sex couple you faced any overt discrimination during the process.

Any info on the interview process and if it different from other types of visa interviews. Thanks.

Hi we just did this. You have to send a copy of 1. birth certificate 2. photo (like a passport photo). go to the local Fiscalia General del Estado de of your state. They do it right their. My partner has a friend in Tepic that went there with his stuff and got it right then and then he emailed us a copy and sent original thru mail. It was not hard. Lol it was the only thing that wasn't in this whole process. Good luck.

Track 13. Can you please tell me as we are totally confused. My husband has his interview 4-17. We have his Med scheduled. He has no vaccination record. We received a list from our lawyer and from the Medical office in Juarez but it seems pretty extensive. did he have any record of previous vaccines? When did you go there?
Do documents have to be translated to english when taking them to consulate interview in Juarez, Mexico

Hi Minemar,. It was probably about 7 months. I only said that about the translation of documents because that is what our lawyer said and it was on our check list from the NVC. Maybe it is different with a K1 than a 601a / I130.
