I received my NOA2 one month ago (May 26) and NVC said they received my case on June 15 but we still don't have a case number! This seems to be taking longer than others report here...is this normal!?

Hello. this is for those who are about to send their supporting documents into the NVC.
Avoid getting a checklist. Here are notes from cases who received a checklist.
In summary, make sure you submit the correct version of your birth certificate, court records, police records, landing papers. Check out the embassy site in your country to see if you can get a detailed list of the documents you must have.. MAKE SURE YOU'RE SENDING THE CORREC VERSIONS AND WRITING YOUR CASE NUMBER ON EACH COPY..
Make sure you write your CASE number on EVERY copy, including your AOS/i-864 form.. You can buy a stamp or print them out on a label sheet, cut and stick on each copy.. Make sure you have filled out your AOS form correctly and have included any w2 and 1099s.. If you don't have a w2, and tax transcripts explain why you don't have them in a letter.
Here is a list of real checklists from Feb/March/April cases.. Don't let this happen to you.
=======
Asked for proof of canadian residence (PR card) which was already submitted with I-130 and mailed document to NVC on June 12th. Also assessment for W2 form which I can take in Interview.
Court record
Incorrect BC and police report
Affidavit of Support form and supporting financial documents
Photocopy of original birth certificate
Missing Birth Certificate
Wrong birth certificate
missing i-i-864a (household member)
They say we are missing Birth Cert and Police Cert but we sent them.
Missing police record
NVC could not accept our police certificate-apparently they lost 2 pages of it
Birth certificate
1st checklist 12/07/17 . correct info in AOS : in the application in sponsor's household size i filled the box #3 instead of #1.
2nd checklist 02/11/17 only sent corrected pages. Didn't know that i had to send all 12 pages again . my latest scan date was 02/15/17
I-864, some places left blank.
They said it was an incorrect birth certificate.
Checklist for a death certificate
Court Records
obsolete AOS form
Incorrect birth certificate. Needs to be one with parents names
Incorrect Marriage Certificate
Financial documents (standard as we are using assets). Also said we had incorrect birth certificate. When I called to clarify, turned out it was incorrect police certificate.
Missing ppc
Marriage Certificate and Police Certificate
Computer generated birth certificate
Police report , w2 from my sponsor
PCC and W2 form
requested missing Nigeria police clearance===
You can check out our spreadsheet which shows who got a checklist.
NVC Case Status Spread Sheet - 2017 (save this link in your browser) You can organize the spreadsheet by column "z". See the "sort instructions" tab in the spreadsheet to learn how to sort. (must use a computer to sort, doesn't seem work on phone)

Also created a forum thread where I hope people will start listing their "checklists"
Thank you so much for this. Do you know what the difference between the court record and police record, and if you have no issues on your police record (arrests, etc.) then is it assumed that you do not need to submit a court record? Any guidance would be really helpful!

I am now filling out my I-864 and I have a question regarding the comments everyone has made about not leaving any fields blank: to what extent do I need to put "0" or "N/A" in each of the fields? I mean there are lots of fields that are not applicable (for example, all the "family member" section fields, since I am only sponsoring my husband and no one else), do I really need to put N/A in each line? Also, Part 5 to determine my household size, it says "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse" but just above it says "Include Persons NOT sponsored in the affidavit" so I am married, but my spouse is the person sponsored, so I feel like putting 1 is incorrect but putting 0 is misleading.
This may sound like I am being extra cautious but I do not want a checklist for leaving things blank, or filling in fields with N/A where I am not supposed to!
Thanks for the support

Any other early October PD dates still waiting to hear from USCIS? We are October 5 and starting to go a bit crazy waiting wondering what is particular about our application that is taking so long. It seems like 28 other applications from October 5 are waiting, according to the app (if I understand correctly how to use it!), but not sure why those people aren't also freaking out on this forum

Thank you, we were following your case and were happy to see you got NOA2. We have no idea why we are in this limbo. No criminal record. No previous immigration
I am a PD October 5 and still waiting. My app also shows other i130 October 5 PDs without status updates since October. Just to say, I think there are others in the same boat, including myself.

Android or ios? I have android and got 2 apps lol. One is called USCIS App and the icon looks like a shield. The other is USCIS Case and the icon has the US map on it. Once you get either, I can guide you through it
ah i figured it out! I have ios but the same one with the shield and I just realized the search function. Thank you

I see that alot of people have mentioned that they received something in the mail before receiving an email or an update using the USCIS website. But has anyone gotten a timely email? I am checking the website and my email compulsively and wonder if its just making me go crazy without being worth it. But calling seems to do nothing and I assume any mail would be delayed since I live outside the US.
We have a priority date of October 5, 2016 and the VJ timeline says we should be processed as of today
Any thoughts on the timeliness of online updates?

I have a question regarding sending in all of our packages for the AOS and IV documentation. Do you know if they will send a checklist or refuse the paperwork if it is not printed on 8.5x11 paper? I live in Switzerland and only have access to A4 paper here which is a different size and I don't think it would look good to individually cut the sheets (even if we use a paper cutter). Has anyone else had experience sending in their documentation on paper that is not 8.5x11?
